Nile crocodiles have hard scaly skin.

They also have strong jaws and strong teeth and can move very fast.

A female crocodile will lay 25 to 100 eggs in a burrow that she digs near the river bank. She covers the eggs with leaves and other vegetation that will keep them warm.

Then she guards her eggs closely for up to three months while they incubate.
