PrAyer of Confession (unison)We have been blessed, O God, by the stories passed on to us of those days when the world was holding its breath in anticipation of the coming of Christ, then of that day when, in a burst of marvel, its greatest hopes and dreams were fulfilled. Thrill us again with the stories of the babe of Bethlehem, and show us how to tell our own stories of what his coming has meant to us, so that others through our witness will know the power of redeeming love.Amen

devotion for the third sunday in advent

For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart.
