Description
Straight thermocouples of this series are made
of a metal thermowell in the design AM or of a
metal and a ceramic thermowell in the design
AMK.
The base of the thermowell is designed
according to the material of the thermowell with
a base stopper or as a sphere.
Based on the properties of metal thermowell
these thermocouples are suitable for using only
up to the temperature of approximately 1100
o
C.
The connecting head is attached to the
thermowell with two screws.
The measurement insert is screwed tightly to the
connecting head.

Description
Thermocouples of this series are suitable for
measuring the flue gases at low pressures up to
1 bar.
The installation takes place with the help of a
stop flange or a gas-tight threaded socket in the
flue gas duct.
In order to improve the thermal / chemical
resistance, the thermowell can be manufactured
from heat resistant steel or can be coated with
enamel.
The removable measurement insert puts
pressure on the base of thethermowell, in order
to ensure a good heat transfer.
According to the selection list, the connector
head is made of aluminium.
The thermowell is inserted in the connector head
and is mounted with 2 screws.

industry and in the food- and beverage industry.
The installation takes place in containers or
tubes at low mechanical and chemical stress.
The removable measurement insert puts
pressure on the base of the thermowell transfer.
According to the selection list, the connector
head is made of plastic, polyester, aluminium or
stainless steel.
The thermowell is made of a seamless tube, the
screw-in plug, the welded base stopper, a
welded stop ring and a loose screw joint, which
is screwed to the connector head.
The thread groove and the sealing of the
screw-in plug are manufactured as in the DIN
3852 Form A. This DIN is specified in the
thermowell norm 43772.

Description
Thermocouples of this series are used in
ventilation systems, in which the air temperature
must be measured.
The installation takes place in air ducts by using
a clamp connection or a flange plate, which is
attached to the air duct.
The measurement insert is removable and is
mounted in the connector head.
According to the selection list, the connector
head is made of plastic, polyester and
aluminium.
The thermowell is made of a seamless tube, the
screw-in spigot, the welded base stopper, a
welded stop ring and a loose screw connection,
which is screwed to the connector head.
Through the gas-tight connection to the
measurement insert, no medium can get out.
Not suitable for atmospheric over pressure.

Description
Thermocouples of this series are installed in
pipelines of small dimensions. The compression
fittings are screwed in the G1/2” - connections in
order to mount the measurement in the tube.
The removable measurement insert puts
pressure on the base of the thermowell, in order
to ensure a good heat transfer.
According to the selection list, the connector
head is made of plastic, polyester, aluminium or
stainless steel.
The thermowell is made of a seamless tube, the
screw-in spigot, the welded base stopper, a
welded stop ring and a loose screw connection,
which is screwed to the connector head.
The thermowell is screwed-in in a T-piece with 3

Description
Thermocouples of this series are used in the
plant and container construction and in the
chemical industry.
The installation takes place in tubes for NW15 to
NW100 at low mechanical and chemical stress.
The removable measurement insert puts
pressure on the base of the thermowell, in order
to ensure a good heat transfer.
According to the selection list, the connector
head is made of plastic, polyester, aluminium or
stainless steel.
The thermowell, made of solid material, is
turned and deep drilled. The connector head is
mounted on the thermowell using a welded stop
ring and a loose screw connection M24 x 1.5.

Description
This thermocouple is installed for measurements
on the surfaces.
The measurement can be done on the plane
surfaces or in the tubes. Here the mounting
method “welding, screwing-in or clamping using
a tension band” can be chosen according to the
case of application.
In order to prevent the heat conduction error, the
protecting block should have a direct metallic
contact to the measuring point and insulation of
the measuring point should be provided for.
The measurement insert is mounted on a
protecting block with a screw and can be
changed anytime without having to dismantle
the protecting block.
Executions with 2 x Pt100 are possible just as
determining insulation and the length of the
connection cable.

Description
In case of reactors and tanks in the chemical industry, multiple measuring points are needed for the exact
temperature control over the entire height of the reactor and level. SCHRAMM provides different varieties of
profile thermocouples, which ensure an optimum heat transfer to the inner wall of the thermowell. Here it
should be noted that the sheathed thermocouples can be changed during the operation without any problem.
The profile thermocouple pictured
on this page consists of
connection housing with a clamp
connection. The individual
thermocouples are brought to the
measuring point over the guide
tube and fixed in the connection
housing with a clamp connection.
The test connection on the neck
tube identifies a leakage in the
thermowell.
The guide tubes of the individual
thermocouples are divided in
demountable parts and are
mounted on the spot.

Description
Thermocouple measurement inserts are in the
existing thermowell for mounting.
The measurement insert is made either of a
ceramic connection block, a flanged pulley with
a free conductor ends or a flanged pulley with a
mounted transducer.
The mounting of this measurement insert takes
place in a connector head design B with the help
of pressure springs. The pressure springs make
sure, that the measuring insert lies flat at the
base of thermowells in order to ensure a good
heat transfer.
