Paul Kavanek, BEP Member, active in BEPs youth program and
ministry, traveled to Nicaragua in college. He served briefly at
the Imagine Ministry feeding program and became really interested
in what they were doing to help the poor and lost in a poverty
stricken area of Managua, Nicaragua. He kept returning for short
visits and finally, in early 2012, Paul felt called to leave his
work as a police officer in Norfolk, Virginia to serve as a
missionary full-time. Pauls passion for the people he serves is
contagious and we are anxious to partner with him as brothers and
sisters in Christ. The Imagine Ministry Vision & Mission God
has given us a wonderful gift in working with children and helping
to raise a Godly generation. In Nicaragua as well as other places
all over the world there are great physical, emotional, and
spiritual needs. We operate out of the abundance of Christs love
for these children, and know that by no power of our own are we
able to accomplish anything (John 15:6). We believe that missions
is essential to the health of the local church. Do not neglect to
do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are
pleasing to God (Hebrews 13:16). You yourselves are our letter of
recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all.
And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us,
written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on
tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts (2 Corinthians 3:
2-3).
