Said Hearing shall be held for the purpose of presentation and discus- sion of the 2020-2021 District budget and shall be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 7:00 p.m., Prevailing Time, remotely via Google Hangouts per the Executive Order No. 202.26, in the High School Professional Development Room, 1100 Ransom Road, Grand Island, New York. The adoption of the following proposi- tions: PROPOSITION NO. 1: To adopt a budget for the fiscal year 2020-2021. PROPOSITION NO. 2: To adopt the following resolution: RESOLVED: (a) That the Board of Education of the Grand Island Central School District, in the County of Erie, New York (the “District”), is hereby authorized to acquire various school buses and vehicles, and to expend therefore an amount not to exceed $685,000; (b) that a tax is hereby voted in the amount of not to exceed $685,000 to finance such cost, such tax to be levied and collected in installments in such years and in such amounts as shall be determined by said Board of Education; (c) that the District is authorized to issue serial bonds to finance all or part of said cost, and a tax is hereby voted to pay the interest on said bonds as the same shall become due and pay- able; and (d) that, in lieu of bonds, the District is authorized to enter into one or more installment purchase contracts for the purchase of some or all of said buses and vehicles, for a term of not to exceed five (5) years; and a tax is hereby voted to pay each installment on any such contract. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that all can- didates for the office of members of the Board of Education shall be self-nominat- ed by petition per the Executive Order No. 202.26. Each petition shall be directed to the District Clerk; shall state the name and residence of the candidate. Island, which are currently in effect and will expire unless further extended; andWHEREAS, the public emergency of the COVID-19 pandemic is continuing and I hereby find that the Local Emergency Orders should be extended;NOW, THEREFORE, I, John C. Whitney, Town Supervisor of the Town of Grand Island, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Laws of the State of New York, hereby extend thefollowing Local Emergency Orders:(1) all public hearings before any board or body of the Town of Grand Island are hereby cancelled, to be rescheduled at a date, time, and location to be determined and, pursuant to Section 24(2) of Article 2-B of the Executive Law, this Order shall be in effect for five additional days, unless further extended;(2) public attendance at Town Board meet-ings is hereby suspended, and any pro-ceedings of the Town Board shall be made available via livestream, with a link posted on the Town of Grand Island website, pursuant to the Governor’s Declaration of a Disaster Emergency, and, pursuant to Section 24(2) of Article 2-B of the Executive Law, this Order shall be in effect for five additional days, unless further extended;(3) meetings of all advisory boards and the Zoning Board of Appeals are hereby suspended, and, pursuant to Section 24(2) of Article 2-B of the Executive Law, this Order shall be in effect for five additional days, unless further extended;(4) all laws providing for deadlines for action of any board are hereby tolled during the pendency of this State of Emergency, and, pursuant to Section 24(2) of Article 2-B of the Executive Law, this Order shall be in effect for five additional days, unless further extended;FURTHER, a copy of these emergency orders herein shall be posted on the Town of Grand Island website, distributed to the media, and published in the official news-paper of the Town of Grand Island;IN ADDITION, the Town is asking the public not to come to any Town facilities or offices for non-essential reasons;FURTHER, the Town is urging all com-munity groups not to hold large public
