    NGFFL Minutes: 13 December 20128.00-9:30pm Eastern

    Attendees: Patrick McIntyre (DC), Jared Garduno (PHX), Sam Lehman (NYC), Wayne Knaub (PHL),

    Chris Cormier (DC), Lance Burage (ATL), Joe Cooper (DEN), Phil Clawson (BOS)

    7.40: Meeting Commences (Jared)

    Jared read the mission and vision

    Jared sketched out the calendar for 2013, built from what is proscribed in the bylaws

    7.55: Football League Advancement Group FLAG (Chris)

    Chris has heard from about 12 city leaders willing to help

    Goals are to create four new cities; generate two leagues in existing Gay Bowl

    participating cities; and generate two new Gay Bowl participating cities

    Create a facebook page for this particular group

    CHRISYOULL HAVE TO FILL THIS IN YOU KEPT GOING IN AND OUT ON MY END

    8.00: Sin City Shootout (Jared)

    We will have a booth there; LAS offered us a hotel room in hopes of getting us out there

    Dates are January 17-20 (MLK Weekend)

    Sam said its a major event, comprised of a number of different sports

    Chris: Pete Spanos (CLE) and Ryan Peel (SLC) will be there and will be willing to help

    No objections to further pursuit

    8.14: Gay Bowl Liaison (Joe)

    Immediate past Gay Bowl co-chair

    PHX might need some help with the Womens Division Joe has agreed to drive this

    PHX is pretty set otherwise, given their recent experience

    Joe wants to reprise the GB Task Force to evaluate what went right and what didnt go

    right

    Joe also wants to create a best-practice / how-to for future Gay Bowl hosts

    Wayne: PHL is forming a task force for potential future hosting

    Chris: DC is also looking into 2014

    8.22: Gay Bowl Experience in Denver (Jared)

    Sam: Loved how organized the field operations were

    Sam: Wondered if byes were helpful to teams

    PMc: Loved the VIP great touch to leverage sponsors and VIPs

    Wayne: Would like to see the GB Task Force create a post mortem lots of great things,

    but more work to be done

    PMc: The breakfasts and happy hours were great community builders to bookend the

    competition, and the army of volunteers took great pride in their work made all the

    difference

    8.40: Corporate Partnerships (Phil)

    Sure up relationship with MillerCoors

    Take info from GB players survey and city leader meetings to renew outreach refresh

    and renew the pitch deck

    Take up the model of the task force for corporate fundraising

    8.46: Communications (Patrick)

    Plans to create task forces for communications and philanthropy, starting with the former

    We need to update the web site, making it more user friendly might make sense to

    outsource it

    Enlist a contingent of content writers

    Jared would love for every board member to write up a little ditty for the 2MD each

    month

    8.55: Treasury (Sam)

    We need to keep demonstrating what we do for city fees

    We should also diversify our sponsorship, and we know Phil is working on this

    We should also print flyers or banners to take to Sin City

    We need to vote on our budget for 2013 in January we have $11k at our disposal

    9.07: Officials (Lance)

    Sunshine Cup: We have more officials than we need!

    Gay Bowl: Wed like to get our officials to a breaking point for each tourney

    There will be handful of proposed rule changes

    9.16: Board Positions for Officials and Rules (Jared)

    Lance is willing to come back for Rules

    We do need to have an open process for a decision in January

    9.18: Wayne

    Will take on Special Projects

    Will look into the bylaws and potentials opportunities out there

    Very excited to engage jack of all trades, particularly helping Phil and Chris with their

    areas Philanthropy is Waynes highest priority PMc and Phil will connect with Wayne on this
