SciGenom Research Foundation (SGRF) is pleased to announce the NextGen Genomics, Biology, Bioinformatics and Technologies (NGBT) Conference. It will be held from Sep 30th – Oct 2nd, 2019 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. This is the ninth international conference hosted by SGRF Conferences, the educational outreach arm of SciGenom Research Foundation (SGRF), along with national and international institutes with a primary goal to promote and support Science and Scientific research in India and South Asia. The 2019 NGBT conference is jointly hosted in collaboration with Toronto Recombinant Antibody Centre (TRAC), Toronto, Canada, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, India, Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), Mumbai, India, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai, India, and Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU), Baroda, India.

The 2018 NGBT conference was attended by over 800 delegates from India and various parts of the world. There were 19 keynote lectures and 100+ talks over the course of three days including a full day symposium on Snakebite cure. The conference also featured over 300 posters. Poster awards supported by major journals including Nature, Science and EMBO were presented to 10 students.

The 2018 NGBT conference scholarships and travel awards provided support for 120 students to attend the meeting. SGRF announced five genomics project grant winners based on research proposals received.

The 2019 NGBT conference will showcase speakers from multiple areas of biology and biology-enabling technologies. It will be a broad meeting covering advances genomics technologies for basic and translational science. Talks will cover many areas of biology including human genetics, drug discovery, clinical medicine, biomarkers, diagnostics, animal, plant and agricultural sciences. It will also cover basic sciences, cellular signalling, cancer biology, conservation sciences and plant biology.

The conference, as in the past, is designed to provide a forum for scientists and students to share their work, build new connections and explore collaborations. We expect over 1000 delegates to participate. It will also be a great global platform for you to showcase your latest technologies, capabilities, sciences and research work to your potential clients and collaborators.

Mumbai (previously known as Bombay ), a natural harbor on the west coast of India is the capital city of Maharashtra state . The seven islands that form Bombay were home to fishing colonies which went through series of rulers starting from Indian kingdoms and empires, followed by Portuguese settlers and then British East India Company. It also became a strong place for the Indian independence movement during the early 20th century.

Mumbai is the financial capital of India. Mumbai generates more than 6% of India's GDP, 25% of industrial output, 40% of sea trade, and 70% of capital transactions to India's economy. The Reserve Bank of India, the Bombay Stock Exchange, the National Stock Exchange of India and many Indian companies and multinational corporations are in the city. It has some of the best colleges.
