Your child should practice math facts and read over break. Please continue to do Moby Max, Achieve 3000, Lexia and reading at home! Another website that may be helpful is IXL. Mentor does not have a license but your child may do 20 problems a day for free! Snap Shot of this WeekThis week we celebrated Martin Luther King Junior’s birthday in language arts. Students read a comprehension sheet as well as a timeline of his life. On Wednesday we completed Achieve3000 about MLK. Students also completed their student learning contracts with word work, vocabulary, comprehension, and creative writing. In math we practiced our multiplication facts and reviewed strategies before we moved to division. On Thursday we read the story, The Doorbell Rang which was an introduction to division. Students had to divide cookies between friends. It was a fun hands on learning activity. In social studies with Mrs. Luzar students are finishing up their chapter on government. Test will be early next week.
