Observe (group #8 today) Groups will leave after the song or book to complete their

observation. Return to class when it is finished. Found in the back of the purple section Unit 5. Stay out of the way and SILENT. This is your only day to observe. Come back when you are

finished. Practice (group #1, 2, & 3 next time)

A Third of the class will be assigned to your group for you to practice your Nursery Rhyme with and only explain your activities. This practice and their feedback will give you an idea for how your teaching will go next time. It will be sung 3X, once by the group and twice with the class.

Teach (group #1,2, & 3 in two class days) Once your group has entered the classroom, sign in on the CD

sheet and go into the care center to set up for your lesson. After your lesson, stay in the center to help out and play with the

kids. The last 5 minutes of class, meet together as a group and finish

the lesson evaluation page. Turn this in.

Safety Pamphlet (option B) As a group, read over and discuss your assigned safety topic folder.

Further information can also be found in the class textbook.

As a group design a flyer, pamphlet, brochure, or other visual that is colorful, creative, eye-catching, and informative. IT IS NOT JUST A BUNCH OF WORDS. Imagine that it is being handed out at a safety fair or in a Doctor’s office. Keep information short and to the point. Use proper grammar and spelling.

Be prepared to do about a 1 minute presentation of this information to the class so plan and organize your group presentation. Show the visual item that your group made, but only tell the workbook information. Make this something you would like to listen to and read. If you think that you would

be bored listening to or giving the information, than it needs to be changed.

After your presentation, give your visual to the teacher.
