The BG Board honored our commitment to fund local charities in August with our 13th & Final presentation of this fiscal year we got to help an organization that is committed to providing services & support for at risk children & their families, by donating $6,500 to Windwood Farm Home for Children, Inc.
making or total donations to this organization, $51,850. With this donation our year end distribution total is $47,000, and our total Overall Donations now stand at $379,300.
Your BG Board will be meeting on September 26th, to distribute over $55,000 in
funds we will receive from the turkey shoot & our annual rent payment. A couple of people have already approached me with request, but If you have a charity you would like for us to consider please contact me at [email protected] or one of the following Board Members:

REMINDER: NO Pets are allowed at Official Club Functions however when you bring a dog to the island – PLEASE be courteous and responsible and maintain complete control and clean up any mess.
Please be considerate of other members and park in an orderly fashion in designated places only. If you bring a guest car for a day of boating please have them double park with your vehicle and trailer. Vehicles without trailers can park on the shooting range also. The D&D and House Chairman have implemented parking markers. Do NOT park an individual vehicle in a space suitable for “trailer parking”.

Cost: $50 Per Adult (Member & Guest) Cost: $35 Per Youth Angler (16 and under)
T-Shirt Included with entry fee. Additional T-shirt’s available.
Qualifying Species: Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead and Redfish (Must be legal size limit and caught on rod and reel)
Captains Meeting: October 11th at the Bird Deck 6:00pm. Fishing Starts: October 12th at 12:01 am. Weigh-In: October 12th from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. Prizes:
1st Place: (30%) Each qualifying species wins 7.5% of total proceeds
& one custom fishing rod.
2nd Place: (30%) Each qualifying species wins 7.5% of total proceeds.
3rd Place: (20%) Each qualifying species wins 5% of total proceeds.
Youth Angler: (20%) Each qualifying species wins 5% of total
proceeds.
Calcutta: $25 per category.
Each Qualifying species. (Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead and Redfish)
Redfish with the most spots. (If not legal size or weighed in a
photograph with suffice.)

For fifty-six years the members of the Goldbug Island boat club (ECOMC) have been bringing families together at the Thanksgiving holiday and giving back to their community with their charity turkey shoot. Be a part of this rich
Lowcountry tradition on famous Goldbug Island by sponsoring this event and helping those in need East of the Cooper & Tri-County Area. One Hundred percent of proceeds are given back to charity! In addition to the prestige of sponsoring this event, we have a rich incentive package including free clubhouse rental, a private audience with club members to sell your products, sponsor booths, private shoots, name recognition, T-shirts and more. Don’t miss this opportunity to put your product in front of the Low Country’s most avid hunters, boaters and outdoorsmen. Spread out over four weeks we hosted almost 10,000 participants last year.
