Newton - The Secret

Newton to us comes across as many more people than the cold rationalist he is popularly imagined as.

We owe more to him, the man who shaped the way we perceive our universe, than just a

glance at his calculations.

We propose to create a space where people experience being in his world of passion,

wonder,contradiction and will.

The space will be centered around seven facets of Newton's character - seven themes he lived by. These themes will be represented by seven

people, who develop their own characters resourced from his letters and notes.

We stage scenes for each of these characters which become spaces for dialogues between

different facets of science itself such as observa-tion, discipline and passion, logic, art, belief,

and the personal.

Through this we also want to create a space to question who the scientist is -

through his science and beyond.

The scientist who interprets our world for us.
