Year 8 News It’s a welcome return to all our Year 8 students this term. It is a long and busy term and we hope that we can work togeth-er to ensure that we support each other and produce work to the best of our ability. This means that all of our students have to make a special effort to be at school and in class on time, ready to learn with all the materials they need. Please en-courage your child to use their diaries so that they remember to complete all homework and assessment tasks. Year 8 students have been returning their forms to attend our Year 8 Camp to Kununurra. At the moment we have approxi-mately 30 students who have paid the deposit. A reminder to parents/guardians that you will need to pay any outstand-ing money by the end of Term Three. Also, could you please let me know if your child is able to take a tent with them?

Earn and Learn with WoolworthsOur school is taking part in Woolworths Earn & Learn commu-nity program. This year, they are giving away more than $5 mil-lion worth of educational resources for Primary and Secondary schools all over Australia, including ours! Until September 18th 2011, Woolworths will give you one Earn & Learn point for every $10 you spend in store. Points will auto-matically appear on your shopping dockets. All you need to do is save these dockets and bring them to school or place them in the box provided at the Woolworths service desk. There’s no limit to the number of points we can collect, so your participa-tion will really make a difference. The more points we earn, the more resources we can order!
