He started work last week at the Macy Campus and in the upcoming weeks will be visiting the Santee and South Sioux campuses to meet everyone. Below is an introduction and a photo. I was born and raised in the Lyons area, attended school there, and graduated in 1963. After high school, I attended Wayne State College and graduated in 1970 with a BS in Business Administration. Since then I’ve worked at several jobs over the years, with the last 16 as City Clerk/Treasurer for Lyons. As a side business, I have done accounting and tax preparation for the last 25 years. I’ve been married for 32 years to Shirley and I have four step-children. I am looking forward to working with and meeting all of you! Each campus will vote for two stu- dent representatives and one alternate. Lists of nominees have been posted around each of the campuses. GET OUT AND VOTE! Student Elections It is not too late to apply for AICF! Applications are still available online for the Fall 2007 semester. The deadline for applications is Friday, Sept. 28th. If you need assistance filling out the online application or are having difficulty getting your essay started, don’t hesitate to ask for help. There are many people at each campus who are willing to assist. See your advisor, teacher, librarian, etc. And please remember to have your picture taken with your campus advisor when completing the application. Student Aid Reports Those students who have filed the FAFSA should check your results on the website to determine whether you have been selected for verification, which could hold up your financial aid award if not complete. Please stay on top of this and see your campus advi- sor if you have any questions. American Indian College Fund Applications Due NICC Recruiting Theresa Henry, Admissions Coun- selor and Recruitment and Retention Officer will be attending the upcoming events to promote NICC: Oct. 7th Tri-State College Fair, Marina Cen- ter in South Sioux City, NE. Oct. 9th Career, College & Leadership Con- ference, Sioux City Convention Cen- ter in Sioux City, IA. Oct. 21st Lincoln Area College Fair, South- east Comm. College in Lincoln, NE. Oct. 25th College and Career Fair, Winnebago High School in Winnebago, NE. Memorial Dinner & Giveaway, Santee Judi Coffman, a student at the Santee Campus, will be holding a me- morial dinner and giveaway for her mother, Ta Pejuta Waste Win (Beverly Lovine Stimple-Ross), on Saturday, Sept. 29th at 1pm at the Oyate Oyanke Center in Santee. Everyone is welcome to attend.
