What we do thereafter decides where and how far we go in our lives. Barrack Obama was denied an entry to the Hall where a Democratic Convention was taking place. He found a way to get himself not only into the Hall but also found the door that opened his path to enter the White House. He found a new door to enter the Hall, not literally but by backing himself up with new ideas and executing those ideas to get himself an invitation as a Presidential Nominee. He went on to win the election and get into text of history as the first Black President of the United States. The key to open the Door for entering the magical Room of Success, Happiness, Fame and Fortune, has always been there in every hand.. Often we miss out as it's a big bunch. But if we are observant, careful, patient yet determined and systematic, try with some logic of elimination and selection, we may figure out a few keys initially for trial and the only one eventually that would open the Door to our Wonderland. Actually, we learn and get to practice this method while preparing for every examination in our school or college. Between nursery to graduation, our rank in examination keeps changing depending upon our practice. Yet, when we come out of School to enter the World of Work in Society or Business, most people seem to think there is a quick fix or easy fix to pass through the door. It's simply not there. School life teaches us all the ways to be successful, famous, prosperous and happy. We have to be observant and practice more with a logical mind. The Key is in our hand, in your hand for you to find and in my hand for me. THAT KEY IS YOUR CREATIVITY. The award was presented by Mr. Jay Prakash Narayan Yadav, Member of Parliament from Bihar and Mr. Manpreet Manna, Director, AICTE SCINTILLA 2K17 CELEBRATED WITH ENTHUSIASM AND GAIETY March 24 & 25, 2017 The Grand Annual 2-Day Cultural Festival of Jaipuria School of Business, SCINTILLA 2K17 commenced on March 24, 2017. The festival was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Dr. Vikram Singh, Former Deputy General Police and Vice Chancellor, NIU at a glittering Ceremony held at the Hall of Inspiration of Jaipuria School of Business. Eminent Senior Journalists, Shri Ramesh Bhatt, Anchor and Deputy Editor, News Nation and, Shri Rohit Ranjan, Anchor, National Voice joined the inaugural event as Guest of Honour and addressed the youth of India, the students of Jaipuria School of Business and those from other participating colleges.

Page2The first day was filled with activities like Street Play,Mannequin Challenge, the Hyde Park Show & dancecompetitions wherein hundreds of students from colleges inDelhi NCR participated. The first day ended with a wonderfulperformance by “Befiama” - the Rock Band of IITians whobelted out some beautiful English and Hindi songs.

The Final day began with singing competition wherein morethan 35 teams participated. However the major attraction onthis day was the performance by the Chief celebrity Ali QuliMirza of the Big Boss fame, who gave a thunderous liveperformance on the evening of the final day. Hundreds flockedto the stage to enjoy this momentous performance.

International Women’s Day on 8th of March, 2017The Women’s Day celebration at JSB was celebrated with much fanfare.The function started with a speech by Prof Mehdi followed by a shortvideo as a tribute to all the women who have proved their mettle. Onestudent spoke about the achievements of women all around the worldwhile another student of 1st year recited a poem as a gesture of gratitudetowards all the women.Dr S.K. Mahapatra, Director appreciated the contribution of all thewomen and congratulated them on the special day. The celebrationconcluded with a cake-cutting ceremony.

Expert TalkThe Centre for Leadership Excellence, Jaipuria School of Business (JSB), organised an “Expert talk” by Mr. Amit Hasija,CEO - Panchavaktra Infra-Tech Limited on March 4, 2017. The topic of discussion was "Market Research". The speakervery effectively delineated the basic nuances and aspects of market research.The students of PGDM also displayed very enthusiasticparticipation in the discussion and got their questions answered bythe expert. The session concluded with the presentation of amemento the guest by the Director.

Page3INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO OMRON-STS MARCH 28, 2017

The Placement cell of Jaipuria School of Business, Indirapuramorganized an Industrial visit to Omron-STS Transformers on 28th March,2017 for the PGDM students.Omron-STS is an ISO certified company that manufactures transformersand supplies them to the Government on contractual basis. The studentsgot the opportunity to have a first-hand experience of witnessing theproduction line of an industrial equipment, see the different types of trans-formers produced according to the demand of the customers. They also learnt the distribution channels to supply theproduct to different parts of the country.The students had a fruitful time visiting the factory learning a lot of things regarding manufacturing of thetransformers. The visit enriched them with the knowledge of the functioning of a manufacturing industry and thesynchronised and coordinated system of working required for turning out a successful product.

PGDM STUDENTS PARTICIPATEDIN AAJ TAK’S TALK SHOWThe PGDM students of Jaipuria School of Business recentlyparticipated in a high profile media event on March 31, 2017.The programme was a debate on Talaq on the Talk Showtitled “Teen Talaq is bad for Muslim women” aired by AAJTAK.JSB students participated actively in the Talk show and Dr.Radha Yadav, faculty, along with the students raised sometruly interesting questions in front of eminent panelists likeMr. Sudhanshu Pathak, Dr. Rakesh Sinha, & otherrepresentatives from Muslim Personal Law Board..JSB STUDENT FELICITATED AT AN AWARD FUNCTION AT MEWAR INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT

MARCH 14, 2017Jaipuria School of Business congratulates its student Ratnesh Kumar Vishwakarma, Batch 2016-18 for having received anaward for being a consistent topper during his three years of Graduation at Mewar Institute of Management, Ghaziabad.He was felicitated at the Management Award Function by Dr Ashok Kumar Gadiya, Chairman, Mewar Group and MrSayeed Ansari, Deputy Editor and Anchor at Aaj Tak. INNOVATIVE PRACTICES AT JAIPURIA SCHOOL OF BUSINESS– A CONTINUING EFFORT

Jaipuria School of Business has been sincerely engagingitself in introducing innovative practices over the lastcouple of years.The process for the rapid turnaround started withintroduction of disruptive strategies at thecommencement of fourth trimester for the second yearstudents and first trimester for the freshers who joinedin the PGDM Batch 2016-18.The Director’s message in the Institute website outlinesthe new strategy for the Business School in the VUCAworld. The vision for the faculty is to create a futureacademy banking on “creativity”. Our faculty has taken upon the responsibility to nurture and take personal care of thestudents to help them grow and spread their wings to fly.As a part of our series of initiatives, we have started a BLOG wherein students and faculty share interesting ideas andtheories on topics of interest. Blog writing is the next step to the initiative taken last year on Book Review by students.Since the students are being imparted writing and communications soft skills through a regular course of study, writing/ blogging would help them express their ideas and thoughts more freely. The wheel has been set in motion .There is more to come. We sincerely hope that the efforts initiated to encourage students for an all round developmentto hone them up as future business leaders bears fruitful results. Cheers! Team JSB
