This prayer day occurs on the third Tuesday of November every year and is a day when schools across Europe and around the world are the focus of prayer. To mark the day, the RE Steering Group delivered a presentation about prayer to their classes. Each class also wrote something that they would like our parent’s prayer group to pray for. NOTICES & REMINDERS

DANGEROUS PARKING Please could parents who drive to school make sure they leave enough time to park near school to ensure that they do not park: in front of driveways; ‘No parking’ signs; on yellow lines; on the corner of roads surrounding the school and particularly not on the Zig Zag lines. This not only causes frustration amongst local residents and businesses but also puts our children at risk. Many thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

HOMEWORKAt this particularly busy time of the year, we would be grateful if you could help support your children in remembering to complete their homework and to bring it in to school on the correct day. Homework helps to reinforce what is being taught in class and it is especially important for years 5 and 6 as it forms good habits for transition to secondary school. Thank you for your continued support.

UNIFORMWe aim to instil in the children a sense of pride and respect for their SMSP school uniform. Please remind them to wear their formal school shoes (not trainers) and their ties every day. We will speak to children who are not in full uniform so if there are any issues e.g. lost/ damaged shoes and trainers are a temporary measure, do let us know. Thank you

Christmas Fair - Saturday 7th December

ALLERGY WARNING We have some children who have a severe allergy to sesame. Please can you ensure that your child does not have any food with sesame in their packed lunch. This includes many brands of Hummus too. Many thanks for your co operation.

SPORT: NEWSTwo fantastic netball matches were played by both our school netball teams against Sacred Heart on Tuesday 19th November. Even in the cold weather Team 1 managed to show great determination winning 9:1 and Team 2 winning 5:1. Congratulations! Keep up the hard work at training. Mrs Fernandes and Mrs Davies.
