Last Thursday Miss Scott’s class entertained us at Assembly with a song about

“resilience”. Well done to all the students involved.

Parent Interviews

Thank you to those who have taken the opportunity to meet with your child’s

teacher this week. The more contact we have with our families can only be of

benefit to your child’s progress.

If you haven’t as yet made an appointment and would like to do so please

contact your child’s teacher.

P&C Annual General Meeting (AGM)

If you can come along to the P&C meeting next Monday at 6.00pm it would be

much appreciated. The committee needs new faces and it is always great to

have new ideas brought in.

This term the fundraising committee is busy preparing for the Easter Raffle

which will be held in Week 10. This is always a big event for the P&C.

Student Council Fundraiser

Thank you to the many students who are supporting the Student Council

Fundraiser helping out the Breakfast Club. It has been so encouraging to see

the many items being donated by families. It will help the limited supplies

that are available to our fabulous hard working Breakfast Club Volunteers.

Pay the $40 voluntary contribution by 30th March and you can

A contribution discount applies to families of 3 or more students ($100).

The prize will be drawn at the school assembly on Friday 31st March, 2017 and includes all contributions paid by 30th March 2017 to Riverside Primary School. (Kindy to Year 6.) This includes payments made via Tools for Schools.

Please contact the school if you would like to pay via direct debit.

The prize is for a tablet only and does not include internet connection or service.

PARENT REMINDER - ANZAC DAY SERVICE - FRIDAY 7TH

APRIL 2017

The School will be holding an ANZAC Day Service on Friday 7th

April at 9.00am. As part of this special assembly, we are asking parents to help identify students within the school who have had a close relative serve in a war or conflict situation for Australia.

These students will be able to lay a wreath during the service. Would any students intending to lay a wreath please return the form which was sent home last week, (also available from the office), to Mrs Wozniuk in the library by Friday 31

st March?

Could parents please ensure that their children are wearing full school uniform for this special occasion?

All parents are invited to attend the ANZAC Day Service.

Fresh Fruit Friday Family Fun Day

Parents/grandparents of Year 1 students are invited to join their children in a Fresh Fruit Friday Family Fun Day at 8:50am on Friday 24

th March. The children will participate in outdoor games followed by eating fresh fruit.

You are invited to spectate or participate in the games and then join them in eating a healthy fruit picnic. Please bring along a picnic rug and some fruit to eat with your children/grandchildren.

Parents/grandparents of Year 1 students who attend will receive a free raffle ticket in the fruit platter draw.

Normal classes will resume at 9:50am.
