WWHAT an exciting time of the year for our Art Society with the

running of the 12th Annual Art Show in City Walk, Canberra breaking all records for entries, sales, new members and spreading the good will of our ‘art world’! One only has to look at the photos supplied to see what a success this year’s event has been. Thank you to all members who were able to help - it was appreciated by the committee. We didn’t push this year to have markets at the Art Show because we need more help to pull it to-gether, but thanks to the two who came, it added to the event. Right on the heels of the Art Show came the ADFAS Molonglo Plains Young Artists Art Competition/Exhibition with record entries. It has been wonderful enthusiasm from students and schools making this venture one of QAS’s best. Welcome to all the new members. I hope you enjoy what we have to offer in the arts but also the friendship and enjoyment of being involved with the society.

YOU OR A FRIEND COULD BE AN ART SPONSOR YOU OR A FRIEND COULD BE AN ART SPONSOR

MMEMBERS are asked to seek sponsorship as the coming year will be more demanding on QAS finances than

usual. We need to support the new Gallery and paint the main building inside and out. Sponsorship can come in many different ways, such as the naming rights for an Exhibition, naming a Media Section, QAS Calender month ad, Newsletter ad, and enter more works in Exhibitions. The bigger the pool the more awards for QAS members.

A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS

TThanks to our members for your magnificent efforts in supporting and getting ‘the show on the road’ and the running of the 12th QAS Annual Art Show which proved to be such a success! It is understandable that not everyone can help but for those who did, it was your outstanding efforts that made the difference.

Many members ‘help’ in many different ways and of course there are others who never make the Art Show but have helped with the preparation. . Our committee is a strong group always working for the Society. Our committee is a strong group always working for the Society.
