My Car is a 1986 Fiero GT V-6, has a 5 speed. Stock Motor had 140 Hp. My Motor is a 2005 Chevy V-6 Block, Big Cam and the K&N Air supply System. A Short throw shifter. The Fiero had a short Life span from 1984 to 1988. The car's weight was 2,700-pounds Top speed was 120mph. its 2.8-liter (173-cu.in) was a great Engine. It has a Cast Iron Block with aluminum Heads & intake Manifold. Had 8.5-compression. Mine has an IROC Type Hood which work due to holes under Hood to cool the front radiator, Side vents give air to Motor, & Brakes, Also the scoops have Strobes & Orange Neon’s, I will have over 30 Neon’s & Strobes on can when done. It now has an Orange steering wheel, & Carpet. Orange Lights behind the wheels. Even though it's not a Pre 72 it's still Fun. Over 400,000 Fiero's were built during their 5 year run. In 1986 17,600 were built with 10% being the Fastback. In 1988 a better Front Suspension system was put in. The reason for its short run life the Chevy Folks were worried about the V-6 motor being faster than the Vette's six. Now their putting a 2.8 Stroker into being a 3.4.

Also a Supercharger 3800 V-6 has been made legal for California if you have $1,800.00 for the 4 day smog test. Also if you live out of Smog State of the world the Cadillac's 4.9 V-8 fits in very nicely. And the Cad North star 4.6 V-6 also & small Block Chevy's fitting with more room that the Pontiac wide V-6. The Muncie or Gatrag 5 Speed was the Trans that were in the noted car. There are some that have over 500hp now & more. Now mine is a Lawn Ornament till I can find the parts for the Ref. and the $450.00 to pull the Motor.

The FIERO was way ahead of its time. It had a Space Age Frame. The Body Panels were Made of, Reaction Injection Molded Urethane (RIM), Glass Reinforced Panels, Molded Compound or Thermoplastic Olefin. It can’t Rust. The FIERO was the Main Body Style for 90% of all Kit Car Frames because they just came off easy.

ENGINE:

When Stock Has a 2.8 Liter V-6 at 140 hp. Mine has a 1993 to 1995 Chevy 3.4 Liter V-6 Multi-Port Fuel Injection Motor with 200 hp with a Racing Cam, Shortly Headers, Borla Cat-Back Performance Exhaust, Hyperteck Computer Chip and Thermostat. It has a Close Short Shifting 5 Speed Trans.

The Fiero’s Weight is a Light 3000 lbs. New it wasn’t a Cheep Car. It sold for $15,085.00 Ouch back than in 86’. It has 4 wheel Disc Brakes. The Engine was called a Mid-Engine. It handles Great. I’ve put in Polyurethane Bushings up front & in the Rear of the Car. Because the Motor is a Mid-Engine the Radiator is up front. What Fun.

BODY MODS: I have 2 Gallons of House of Color Sunset

Pearl. Also 2 Gallons of Urethane Clear. I spent $4,000.00 for Paint & Supplies. I did all of the Body work on the Body. It has a 67 to 69 Chevy Cowl-Induction Hood Scoop which I molded it into the Stock Hood. I made 3 Inch Holes under the Hood Scoop to take advantage of the Reverse air flow to cool down the Motor. Also I have Side Scoops which cool down the rear Brakes. The Scoops have Orange Strobe Lights which glow in the dark. The Paint Job Cost me $1,000.00 & Color Coat Manual at 909-969-6162 The Interior was done here right in Fontana. It has a Gray with Orange trim & Piping. A Complete Orange Carpet. Fancy Spare Tire Cover with Orange lettering. I Beat “Ice Cream Jim’s” PT…A Joke Jim.

LIGHTS:

I will have about 18 to 22 Orange Neon Lights Inside and Under the Body. Also about 28 LED Orange Lights behind the Mag Wheels, Inside the Car. I’m still working on the Lights. Brand New Rear Tail Lights just made. The Fiero Store. I have won 3 awards so far in 6 shows. I can’t wait to go to The Burger Town USA Meet and Greet and take Part in my Invention Ron’s Fan Belt Toss. It’s OK, I Suck. I’m also working on my 1973 MOPAR Dart Swinger. The Motor was pulled out so I could paint the Engine Compartment, and Motor is also painted. L@@KS Great.

A final message from the Club Founder As we end our Meet & Greet events I feel that we have accomplished many things as a club. From the very beginning this club was faced with many obsticles and many were not easy . But, as time went on, the challenges that directly affected and came towards this club were met with confidence and positive feelings, along with the joy of having the sense that all was accomplished and that we conquered the situation with ease and at the end feeling great about succeeding in doing so.

As with all clubs I am sure that the President, Coordinator or club members look forward to many people attending their scheduled event, which shows that the club is an enjoyment and fun to come to every time. Our club originated in May of 2006 and the very first Meet & Greet was on June 6 2006 going on 3 years. Many people know of this club and know that we have always been a club to welcome everyone and ask nothing but to have a good time while here. I was told that to win at Rancho was to win the big one. Well, if you did win one of these trophies I would like to congratulate you and hopefully it won’t end up in the garage someplace but instead you will cherish it and place it on your desk at home or at work. I will say this though, If you won at Rancho wheather it was a contest on a game or a trophy for your cruiser, you earned it.

Thanks for being part of “Rancho Cucamonga PT Cruiser Club” and hopefully we will continue in 2009 to have good times with our new agenda as the new “Rancho Cucamonga PT Cruiser Cruisin’ Club 2009”.

A very special “Thank You” to Mr. Jim Guignard who has been to every Meet & Greet since the beginning. I would also like to give thanks to many people for their honored support especially Clem & Sandy Lagrosa for always being at many of our club functions and helping out throughout the years.
