Another busy and exciting week at Sacred Heart School where learning is fun!

A big thank you to those children who were able to perform at the concert last Friday evening as part of the Primary Schools Choir. It is always good to be involved in community events and to work together with our friends at the primary school. The Head there is a very keen musician and I have a feeling she and Mrs Bradford will be devising more collaborative events for our choirs! To Arabella, Elena, Charlie D, Madeleine G, Izzy, Phoebe, Amalie and Florence, ‘Thank You’ for turning out on a cold night, singing your hearts out and brightening a dark winter evening!

Following an exciting final of the KS2 Carol Competition, winners were announced as follows: - 3rd - Alfred and Rupert singing Christmas is Here 2nd - The Snowflake Squad singing What Christmas is All About 1st - Snowflake Spirits singing Snowy Owls

All the entries were of a very high standard, and it was a difficult choice but the first place was given to the group from Year 5 because of the quality and originality of their lyrics and singing. Well done to all of those who took part.

You all made a superb effort on our Christmas lunch day, looking very festive in your Christmas Jumpers and raising £80 for the work of Save the Children. Well done!

Foundation Stage set the bar high

last week with ‘Whoops-a-Daisy-

Angel’, but KS1 did not disappoint

with their unique and charming

production of ‘Hey Ewe!’ Quite a

challenging show for such young

children but they were brilliant!

This was a beautiful end to our autumn term! Year 6 led the

service, telling the story through tableaux, readings and

songs, supported by contributions from each year

group. A very peaceful end to a very busy term.
