In about a month’s time we will take 120 orphans and counselors to the Carpathian Alps of Transylvania. Every year we want to bless the orphan children with an experience they will never forget: worship time, teaching, games, hiking, crafts, small group interaction and huge campfires. All these activities will happen in the most beautiful and scenic part of the country. Each summer we see scores of orphans accepting Jesus as Lord for the first time, rededications, and a new commitment to spiritual growth.

Please pray for us, for a special work of God in all our lives. If you are interested to partner with us to make this work possible, either in prayer or financially, please write a short email at: [email protected] or visit our website www.pathwaytojoy.org where you could find the right information or web links.

Last year in June we began the process to be accredited by the ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability).

In April, we got the letter of approval, which says, “Founded in 2002, Pathway to Joy Min-istries’ (www.pathwaytojoy.org) vision is to empower the church and community to care for orphan children and families in crisis through the love of God. Their heart is to con-nect people to Jesus.”

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to welcome you (PTJM) as an EC-FA-accredited organization. We are pleased to accredit a ministry committed to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ by offering protection, provision, and permanent solutions to the or-phan children in Romania,” said Dan Busby, president of ECFA.

CristinaShe cried and cried and cried. Noth-ing satisfied her. No matter what was done, she kept right on crying and crying. Such strong wails from such a tiny body. The only antidote for her distress was Mia.

Pathway to Joy’s dedicated hospital worker Mia just took her and held her. That’s exactly what Cristina wanted. It’s what she needed. As she over and again calmed Cristina’s cry, Mia had no clue that this same strong voice would 15 years later render joyful songs of praise to the One who would provide the forever family that Cristina needed. At the beginning of her life, Cristina was given a 30 percent chance of survival. That’s how frail, undernourished and skinny she was. She was born at the birthing center and promptly abandoned. The hospital became her home, her place to await death. But God’s provision entered the picture when Cristina, with no genetic issues, was unwit-tingly placed on the genetically challenged unit under the care of Pathway to Joy. Mia, our worker was herself abandoned at birth and grew up without family. Mia’s heart was immediately consumed with compassion for Cristina. When Cristina’s mother aban-doned her at the hospital, said, “I don’t want her.” Mia believes the mother left her there simply because she was tiny and she just didn’t want to care for her. She never came back to visit her baby. Cristina was there, with only Mia to hold her. The hospital staff lifted not a finger. The hospital diagnosis was that Cristina was psychologically re-tarded. It was an easy, convenient diagnosis with no investigation into the real issues of her life. But this was something we never be-lieved and refused to accept it. Cristina’s big difficulty was that she was not nurtured by a loving mother and didn’t experience much-needed human touch.

Today Cristina is a princess, and is com-pletely in love with music -- both the key-board/piano and singing. Her very favorite is church music. Music with a Christian message. Music that glorifies Jesus. “That’s what I like to play and sing,” she said. And she now sings to glorify God for his grace shown to her by providing a forever family.

For the PTJM leaders of the Orphan Camp 2014: Mircea, Larisa, Laura and Karen. For the two teams coming from Living Gospel Church, IN and Calvary Chapel Chattanooga, TN which are coming to serve the orphans. Please pray for God’s protection, health and strength as they travel. We praise God for the ECFA and the service they provide to the Evangelical Church mem-

bers in the USA and the mission agencies around the world. We praise God for the seal of approval that was granted to our PTJM ministry early this Spring. We thank God for the trip Cornel took to the USA in March-April, for his protection and

safety, for renewal of relationships with churches and friends of the ministry, for the new friendships we were able to establish. We pray for a continued commitment to accomplish the call God placed on our hearts to be able to defend and care for the fatherless.A few days ago Cornel had the privilege to officiate the wedding of Daniel and Tabita Parna-

vel, one of our coworkers here in Romania. Please pray for Daniel and his lovely wife, as they are finishing school and trying to build a strong marriage. We need more people praying for us. If you know some one interested in praying for the work

we do in Romania please share our Prayer & Praise with them.

We thank God for making this ministry possible through your prayers and financial support.
