Our annual Key Stage 3 Presentation Evening is a fabulous opportunity to recognise and celebrate the excellence

and success of Cox Green students not only in terms of their academic achievement but their commitment and

contribution to the school. Sadly we cannot hold the event in person this year due to coronavirus however we are

very proud of our students and this year our awards will be presented to you online, here! We would like to take

this opportunity to thank all our young people; they are a delight to teach! A heartfelt ‘well done’ to all of them.

Awards for English Connor Wotton

Although Connor has faced personal challenges,

he has continued to give his full commitment in

class with his own work and with helping others.

He is polite and always willing to help. In addition,

Connor has also read over 2,500,000 words on

Accelerated Reader.

Megan Shaw Megan has been working hard within all of her

English lessons and the result of this is seeing

Megan make excellent progress. She is hard

working and diligent in the classroom and with her

homework making her a well-rounded student.

Megan is continuing to go from strength to

strength and accomplishing the challenges that

she faces.

Adam Haywood Adam leads the way in AR lessons. He has

achieved 100% in over 40 quizzes, as well as being

our classes’ first A.R. word millionaire. In class,

Adam contributes more than any other student,

instinctively moving debates onto interesting

material, answering questions which no-one else

dares to, almost always accurately and his written

work is always spot on. If there’s a challenge task,

Adam is the first to complete it every time, with

total accuracy. A first class English student.

Phoebe Strutton Phoebe is consistently focused within lessons and

able to contribute in meaningful ways which in

turn supports other students.

Deniz Aydinlik She has worked incredibly hard in every lesson in

a group which can be challenging at times but she

has never wavered in her focus and continues to

make excellent progress not just in Accelerated

Reader and Literacy Support but also in her

English lessons. She is a fabulous student!

peers and develop her ideas. She has made

amazing progress in her Geography studies

because of this, some amazing team and paired

every lesson to ensure that her work meets the

highest standard possible. She is polite, kind and

hard working. She shows a passion and diligence in

all areas of English from assessments, to

presentation. Diana very often impresses with the

work she completes outside of the classroom to

support her learning. Diana has approached her

English teacher with very in depth and developed

research around historical context, literature texts

and research of topics to write about it lesson.

Further to this Diana continues to extend her

learning with reading texts that are at a GCSE or A-

level standard. Diana finds regular time to discuss

and have conversation around these texts with her

English teacher. Diana continues to go from

strength to strength in English.
