Dave is one of the true "good-guys!" Along with his wonderful wife Gloria we've shared a
lot of music together over the years and we have the photos to prove it!
The Vee gang has never passed up a chance to visit the Doo Wop Coffee Shop - where the
music is as alive as it was in 1960! And the beat goes on... Thanks for that Dave!

Serious sport. Serious fun.
Teamwork is the foundation of dragon boat racing, an activity which originated in ancient China. Twenty paddlers move in unison with
the aid of a steerperson and a drummer. People of all ages and fitness levels can
participate since synchronized movements, rather than strength and experience, are
the keys to success.

Several years ago Hanley Mortenson decided to condense a collection of home made movies that his uncle Oliver Felt had taken during the early 1950’s into a VHS video format. Due to age deterioration a lot of the film was not able to be recovered but what was salvaged turned out to be a treasure for our community heritage. Over the years he has presented it to many groups and organizations while narrating it from heart each time. Recently he had the video professionally transferred to DVD for-mat by Gulsvig Enterprises with Hanley’s narration and a background soundtrack added. As part of the soundtrack Hanley was granted permission by Kip Johnson to include a recording of the “Starbuck High Forever” song. This is a fantastic look into
the past for your own video collection and is a great gift item.
Hanley has donated the rights to the Starbuck Chamber of Commerce to make it available for sale as a fundraiser. The chamber will donate $1.00 from each DVD sale Someplace Safe. Available for purchase at Samuelson’s, Starbuck Meats,
Hair Mix, and at the Starbuck Area Chamber of Commerce Heritage Days
craft fair display .
