IamproudtobeyournewlyelectedGrandKnight.Ihavemuchtoliveupto.PastGrandKnightPhilipLoVerdedidanamazingjobforthepast3years.Iwillhonorandrespectmynewpositionandexpecteachoneofyoutoholdmeaccountable.IwillcontinuetoguideusanddirectusalongsidetheHolySpirit.

Charity–OurCatholicfaithteachesusto“Lovethyneighborasthyself.”MembersoftheKnightsofColumbusshowlovefortheirneighborsbyconductingfooddrivesanddonatingthefoodtolocalsoupkitchensandfoodpantries,byvolunteeringatSpecialOlympics,andbysupporting,bothspirituallyandmaterially,motherswhochooselifefortheirbabies.Knightsrecognizethatourmission,andourfaithinGod,compelsustoaction.Thereisnobetterwaytoexperienceloveandcompassionthanbyhelpingthoseinneed,acallweanswereveryday.

Unity–Noneofusisasgoodasallofus.MembersoftheKnightsofColumbusallknowthat–together–wecanaccomplishfarmorethananyofuscouldindividually.Sowesticktogether…wesupportoneanother.Thatdoesn’tmeanthatwealwaysagreeorthatthereisneveradifferenceofopinion.Itdoesmeanthat–asaKnightofColumbus–youcancountonthesupportandencouragementofyourbrotherKnightsasyouworktomakelifebetterinyourparishandcommunity.

Fraternity–TheVenerableMichaelJ.McGivneyfoundedtheKnightsofColumbus,inlargepart,toprovideassistancetothewidowsandchildrenleftbehindwhenthefamilybreadwinnerdied–oftenprematurely.TheOrder’stop-ratedinsuranceprogramcontinuestodothistoday,asdoindividualKnights,wholastyeargavemorethan10millionhoursoftheirtimetoassistsickand/ordisabledmembersandtheirfamilies.IntheKnightsofColumbus,wewatchoutforandtakecareofoneanother.

Patriotism–MembersoftheKnightsofColumbus,betheyAmericans,Canadians,Mexicans,Cubans,Filipinos,Poles,orDominicans,arepatrioticcitizens.WeareproudofourdevotiontoGodandcountryandbelieveinstandingupforboth.Whetherit’sinpublicorprivate,theKnightsremindtheworldthatCatholicssupporttheirnationsandareamongstthegreatestcitizens.

Ihaveneweventsandfundraisingideasplannedandhopetoseethemthrough.PleaseplanonattendingourInstallationDinnerwithyourfamilyandpleasefeeltobringinaCatholicManwemayintroduceintoOurKnightsFraternity.

FinancialSecretaryNotes: Hello brothers, it is my pleasure to take over as the Financial Secretary for our council. I will promise that I will work very hard and do my best to run a very successful council. All I ask from you is for a little patience while the responsibilities are being rolled over to me. I am slowly starting to gain access to every tool and will be running at full very soon. Please let me know anything that you need or are missing. For Example: Name Badges, Membership cards, etc. You can now pay your 2016 dues online with a credit card or debit card. All you have to do is go to the following link and pay your dues.
