One Day Seminar on “Skilling of Constructions Workers andSafety Management in Projects” by CPWD

CPWD organized a day long seminar on “Skilling ofConstructions Workers and Safety Management inProjects” on 26th April 2019 at Vigyan Bhawan, NewDelhi. Secretary Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairswas the chief guest and was attended by DG, CPWD,ADGs and all CEs of CPWD. CEO, CSDCI was invited as guest speaker andaddressed the audience on various efforts made byagencies for construction workers and challengesbeing faced. He emphasized that CPWD could leadthe path in making sure that skilled people areemployed at construction sites on preferential basis.

Meeting for creating a blue print for Worldclass ToT at Mumbai

India’s participation in WSC Kazan 2019

CEO, CSDCI attended a day long conference onvarious issues and aspects of TOT programorganized by L&T. Issues affecting TOT quality likeduration, opportunities, infrastructural requirementswere discussed. Officials from L&T and CEOs offive Sector Skill Councils participated in themeeting.

Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) isthe line ministry assigned to CSDCI by MSDE. AllQualification Packs developed by CSDCI will bevetted by MoHUA. A QP committee meeting washeld at Directorate General CPWD on 25th April2019 where CSDCI presented & interacted on sevenQPs with Deputy Directorate General (DDG),CPWD.

L&T is willing to take initiating in creativity trainingassessment platform through digital initiative.Mr. Ganeshan, Head Corporate L&T presentedvarious initiatives taken by L&T. CEO, CSDCI alsoparticipated. L&T will be taking initiative to developvarious aids visual/audios/content which will behelpful in improving quality and accountability inskilling of construction workforce.
