Ingredientes

56 Editions,we are tradition
The Internation-al Fishing Tour-
nament Marlin & Sailfish Puerto Vallarta has just celebrated its 56th edition, tak-ing as image the piece of Manuel Martinnez Peña, whom you can read more about in our official magazine at our website.
It was a a very ex-citing competi-ton, from begin-ing to the end, since register un-till last fishinf day and awards din-ner, an event full of surprises.
And with them we can count
on some chang-es in Catch & Release mode, which past years has been sailfish only.
As you remem-ber, during wel-come’s cocktail we have a stand dedicated to this mode of fish-ing where each team decides if participate or not.
For those who want to take the challenge, some banderoles are gived, they’re going to be used as proof of how many specimens are brought close to the boat

by taking a photograph w i t h t h e b a n d e r o l e and the fish. T h a t w a y used to be, but this year r u l e s h a d c h a n g e d and instead of pictures, j u d g e s a s k e d
for videos in order to let the ac-tion l i v i n g and giving a g o o d
memory to par-ticipants.
Also this year Mar-lin partici-pates as valid specie for catch
and release, changing the
name to “Catch & Release Billfish-
es”. Giving five
points for each sailfish and ten for each Mar-lin. This way we protect the species and ensure a better fishing for future.
Thanks to Ola Vallarta’s guys we could enjoy of this great event live online, and our friends who couldn’t come from entire Mexico and the world, didin’t miss it out.
Competition was very tough since the first day, big catches hel-ding the top for a few minutes and then came another and an-other one, heavier and heavier, fueling the sense of competition, encouraging them to try harder the next day.
Once more, Ana María’s crew leaded by their captain Esteban Torres, surprised us with their specialty, Marlin, showing that they are the best crew in the Pa-cific.
