DOCTORS IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS PROGRAMAs you may be aware, our school was successful in being selected to

participate in the Victorian Government’s Doctors in Secondary Schools Program. As part of this program, an adolescent-trained GP, Dr Steph, is at

our school each Tuesday to provide free access to primary health care for our secondary students.

We know that teenagers are the least likely of all age groups to seek health care, but we also know that many health problems that can have consequences

into adulthood start at this time of life. The Doctors in Secondary Schools program seeks to address this issue.

You can support the success of the program by talking to your child about the program and encouraging them to access the GP if they need primary health

care. Students can contact the Doctors in Secondary Schools Program

Lead Teacher Ms Sheila Wigley on 5970 0200 or email [email protected]

Rebel Sport Community Kickbacks! If you have a Rebel Sport Card, do you know you

can link it to Mornington Secondary College. 5% comes back to us by way of a discount on

equipment purchases for the school.

3D MODELLING Year 10 students Simon Owen and Warren Rogan (left) run a 3D modelling course for year 7 students every Wednesday at lunchtime. It is fantastic that Simon and Warren have gone above and beyond all expectations to develop this initiative and create a course teaching 3D modelling. Initially, it was going to be a lunchtime activity but the boys decided it would be better if they made it a course and in turn presented me with a series of lesson plans with the course outline. They have sourced different skills and resources from various staff members ensuring that

every thing was ready for the course to proceed. It has been amazing to watch these talented and caring students use their skills to help others. Next term, Warren and Simon are offering the same course to any interested year 8 students.
