1 st April 2011 Dear Parents Reminders Easter holidays May I remind you that school closes at 3.30pm on Thursday 7th April and re- opens after the Easter holidays on Tuesday 26th April 2011. It is important the children attend school Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before the Bank holidays on Friday 29 th April and Monday 2 nd May. School Lunches. We have been notified by Schools Catering that a price of a school meal will increase to £2.00 per day with effect from Monday 4 th April. It is very helpful if dinner money is sent in on a Monday as a lot of time is wasted in the office chasing money at the end of the week. Your support in this matter would be much appreciated. Milk in School Scheme The charge for mid morning milk remains at £9.50 per term. Could you please send milk money in a sealed separate named envelope. The milk is now kept in a fridge in the baking room so it is nice and cold for the children to drink. If you do not wish for your child to continue having milk for the summer term could you please notify the office so they can contact the dairy. Baking It would be greatly appreciated if parents of children in years 1 - 5 could send a voluntary contribution of £1 on the first day back towards the cost of baking for the whole term (in a separate named envelope please). Foundation Stage children to pay baking contributions, directly to Miss Shaw. Any offers of help with baking would be greatly received. Red Nose Day The children raised £389.00 for this event. Thank you for supporting this event. Sponsored Walk Thank you for supporting this event. So far we have raised an excellent £486. Please ensure all monies are sent into School before Wednesday 6 th April. Royal Wedding Lunch Just a reminder we are holding our celebration lunch in honour of the Royal Wedding on Thursday 28 th April. Children can dress in clothes they might wear for a wedding that day…or be patriotic in red, white and blue clothing. Hope you all have a wonderful Easter break. Yours sincerely H. Acton Headteacher
