Daffodil Entrepreneurs Forum (DEF) of Daffodil International University Organized

Daffodil Entrepreneurs MeetUp-2017Daffodil Entrepreneurs Forum (DEF) of Daffodil International University organized "Daffodil Entrepreneurs MeetUp-2017" today on 25th January 2017 at Banquet Hall in the university. At the MeetUp program, about 300 DIU Alumni Entrepreneurs and some startup students had participated and addressed in a round table discussion with Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University (DIU). Professor Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Director, HRDI, Mr. Syed Maruf Reza, Head, Department of Entrepreneurship of DIU were also present.

Mr. Md. Sabur Khan announced to bring all entrepreneurs under a connecting platform through a Directory Management of Daffodil Entrepreneurs Forum (DEF) where all entrepreneurs will be facilitated to promote their business ventures and newly startups with a B2B networking and Daffodil Business Incubator as DEF has already ensured more than 700 entrepreneurs including startup and successful entrepreneurs who have established their business in home and abroad, and created more than 7000 job opportunities. The program will be continued yearly and will bring some changes in the MeetUp-2018. Very soon an Association naming "Startup Bangladesh" as Chamber of Business will be announced where all current participants will be the prioritized members.

DIU believes to create entrepreneurial employability with a competitive skills, spirit and culture of Entrepreneurship and Interpreneurship among the students and alumni, so that they become efficient and effective with entrepreneurship, not only in business but also in employability.

With a view to creating Entrepreneurship from the beginning of University life among the students, DIU has opened a four years’ degree naming “Bachelor of Entrepreneurship” and "Daffodil Business Incubator" so that students can differ on their career choices to set their minds as to whether they will start as entrepreneurs or job-holders.Caption: Mr. Md. On 29th of January, Daffodil International Academy had organized Daffodil Puzzle Hunt -2017 on the occasion of International Puzzle day.135 candidates had participated in 45 teams at the program; each team consisting of 3 members. In the competition, first place was taken by Mujahidul Islam Peal, Tanveer Antu and Ali Mohammod Yalia from Daffodil International University; Second place was placed combinedly by three teams, they are Sahidul Islam Shakil, Sumaiya Zahara, Shersstha Khan, Sharif Ahmed, Md. Parag Hossain, Sumaia Tairin, Moin Kabir, Borhanuddin Miraz and Anika Rahman. And third place was placed by two groups, they are Md. Sahidul Islam, Paul Corraya, Faysal Kabir, Shahed Islam, Nahid Islam and Arman Shatu.

Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Executive Director of DIA distributed the prizes among the winners. Md. Shah Newaz Mazumder, Deputy Director and Sarwar Hossain Mollah, Deputy Academic Director of Daffodil International Academy, had given their speeches at the program. BM Nazmul Haque, Senior Faculty of Daffodil International Academy played the role of the head of Judges, and Shamsuddin Ahammad, Nazrana Haque and Nasimul Kader were in the Judges Panel. The program was co-ordinated by Mazharul Haque Masum.

On 10th of November 2016, the Student-Alumni Congress 2016 of Daffodil International Academy was held at KIB Auditorium. Mr. Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Information, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University and Mr. Jim Scarth, Deputy Director of British Council Bangladesh, was present as Special Guest. The Program was chaired by Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Executive Director of Daffodil International Academy. Mr. Md.
