Year3andYear4YorkResidentialWhatawonderfultimewehadinYorklastweek.Thechildrenwereamazingatgoingtobedwhentheywereaskedandgettingthemselvesorganisedfortheverybusydays.WevisitstheYorkMinster,JorvikCentre,DIG(ahands-onarchaeologicalmuseum)andtheNationalRailwayMuseum.ThechildrenthoroughlyenjoyedtheirexperienceandIhopetheywillrememberitformanyyearstocome.ManythankstoMrsBurton,MissCleggandMissBinnswhosupportedmeonthevisitandforfreelygivingtheirtime.

Wewillmeetatthemaincarpark,nexttothecafat4.00pmonTuesday.Wewillthenfollowoneofthetrailsandcyclearoundtheforestbeforereturningtothecafforawellearnedcuppaoricecream.Thechildrentakingpartwillneedtobecompetentinridingtheirbikesontheforesttrails,whicharenotsuitableforbikeswithstabilizers.Thecycleridewillbeapproximately5miles.Childrenwillneedtobe

AppointmentsintheschoolTokeepyouupdatedwithstafingchanges,Iamabletoinformyouofthefollowing:KS2Teacher:ThegovernorsarecurrentlyshortlistingandinterviewinganumberofteacherstoteachClass4fromSeptember.Asthispositionisacontractforatleastayear,thisrequiresadvertising.MrsEvans:WearedelightedtoannouncethatMrsEvansisexpectinghersecondchildandwishherwellforahappy

pregnancy.Thegovernorsareworkingcloselywithmetoappointateachertocoverhermaternityleavewhenthisstartsduringthenextschoolyear.Headteacher:thepositionhasnowbeenadvertisedandapplicantsarecontactingthegovernorsforapplicationpacks.Prospectivecandidateswillbevisitingtheschooloverthenextthreeweekswiththeinterviewprocesscontinuingintheweeksafterthehalftermholiday.Pleasespeaktooneoftheschoolgovernorsifyourequireanyfurtherinformation.

FamilyCampOverWeatherpermitting(!),wewillbehavingafamilycampoverontheafternoon/eveningofSaturday6thJuly.Thisiswhereyoumaypitchyourtentontheschoolield,playgamesontheieldduringthe

afternoon,enjoyyourBBQandrefreshmentsbeforeretiringforanightunderthestars.Baconsandwicheswillbecookedforbreakfastinthemorning.Ticketsarenowavailablefromtheschooloficefor10toraisemoneyforschoolfunds.Pleasenoteifyoupaidforthislastyear(wehadtocanceltheeventduetotheweather),andwestillhaveourdonation,youwillnotneedtopay
