Dear Heavenly Father,Let people feel happy at Christmas and gather together with family to feel wondrous joy.Thank you Father for giving us this wonderful celebration each year to remember the birth of Jesus and hope coming into our world.I hope this Christmas that the poor people on the streets can enjoy Christmas this year by being given a helping hand by more lucky people and celebrate with others. As well as the poor being helped let the people who don’t have anyone to laugh and enjoy Christmas with, be accompanied by the warmth of others. In the name of the Father, Son Holy Spirit,Amen. Mr Bragard’s Weekly Update

This week has been the start of the Christmas Nativities. This is always my favourite part of the Christmas season retelling the amazing journey to Bethlehem and the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ. We commenced the week with the KS1 Nativity. What a wonderful performance this was! Then at the end of the week was the Early Years performance which was also equally as wonderful! The KS1 children showed the nativity through the theme of Strictly and the Early Years children showed it through a collection of songs. All the children were fantastic, there was stupendous singing and delightful dancing on show throughout. A massive thank you to all the children who took part in the singing, dancing, narating and acting as you were all brilliant. Another big thank you goes to all the adults that put in the hard work to ensure these were both such great performances. The adults have been costume making, helping with line learning, supporting dance routines, practising singing and much more. We are so lucky to have such amazing staff so thank you to all involved.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to Mrs. Tina Roberts, who has been appointed as a new Learning Support Assistant at Sacred Heart. Mrs. Roberts will be working in various year groups across the school.

KS1 NativityThis week KS1 performed their own version of the Nativity. The children shared the story through some brilliant song and dance routines in a strictly come dancing style. The message at the end was not forgotten that Christmas is about the birth of Jesus the Son of God.

From the School OfficeWater BottlesPlease can we remind all our families that children are only allowed water in their bottles that are in class. Some children are bringing in juices or squashes in their bottles, which is not permitted. Please support us with being a healthy school, many thanks. Concerts Tickets for the Concerts must be booked in advance via Shop on School Money.Health and Hygiene Reminder Just a reminder of the Government guidelines for sickness and diarrhoea. Children cannot return to school until 48 hours after the last incident of either.Earrings and JewelleryWe are now approaching the end of the first term, but still many children are coming in with earrings or jewellery. We do not permit any jewellery in school for health and safety reasons, as detailed in the school prospectus. We therefore ask parents to support us with and not send their children in with any jewellery, especially earrings, many thanks.LatesMany children are arriving late on a daily basis. This disturbs the daily running of the school. It causes the child, teacher and class much disruption as they enter late, and the teacher has to settle the child and explain the work once again. Please remember to arrive promptly for school, the gates open at 8.30am, shutting at 8.50am. Children arriving after this time are late, and late forms will need to be completed in the office, explaining the delay. We thank you for your support in getting your child to school on time.

Friends of Sacred Heart is a charitable organisation that holds a range of events to raise money for our wonderful school. Events include quiz nights, curry nights, beetle bingo, summer and Christmas fairs. The money raised goes towards our children's learning and to improve their school environment. In previous years we have helped pay for play time and lunchtime equipment and subsidise trips for the children.
