THE BRITISH CO-ED HIGH SCHOOL
JUNE- 14 IAYP Trips Barog
Trip for Boys
75 boys from classes 10-12 went for an IAYP trip nd
to Barog. On 2 June'14, after reaching Barog Pine Hill Eco Camp, all the students were filled with enthusiasm. Numerous treks and exciting activities were organized which were tiring but adventurous. For the treks, the instructions about wild animals, poisonous plants and their medications were delivered by Brigadier Nagra and the manager. Different groups were made and various competitions were held.
Adventurous activities such as: flying fox, obstacles etc were a new and interesting exposure for all of us. We were also given a task to prepare our supper which added to our knowledge and experience as to how to cook food. It actually tasted better than our junk food. The DJ party was definitely a fun for everyone.
All the things that we learned on this trip were very useful and I am sure it will help us in the future also.

Now cooking is their cup of tea also.
etc. We learnt many new techniques while performing all these fun- filled activities.
The next day we went to the historic Barog Railway station which was only a km away from our camp. Till noon we spent time there watching the trains coming and going. As we returned to our camp we had some more adventures but the best was preparing our dinner in the evening. It was more of survival training as we learnt how to cook food in a forest.
On the third day we trekked up the Panchmundia Hill, about 3kms away from our camp. Though it was tiring yet it added to our experience about hills, forests and survival over there. On the way back we visited the Hanuman and Shivji Temple. The evening was entertaining for all of us with a dazzling bonfire and DJ.

Aero Planet Trip to Delhi 126 students from classes VI- IX along with 9 staff members left the Junior School with much gusto. The journey was fun- filled. We all played, laughed and rejoiced all the way. At around 2:30 pm we reached our destination. We entered Aeroplanet in high spirits. The scorching heat did not lower our enthusiasm. At Aero Planet we were taught about the precautions that should be taken and also how to exit an airplane in an emergency. All the fun- filled tasks rejuvenated us. After having lunch we left for the Aviation Museum. We were taught about the important parts of an aircraft. We learnt how a plane is recovered if it crashes. We all listened to the professionals who explained to us many new and interesting things about airplanes. After this we were taken near the Indira Gandhi National Airport, Terminal 3. We were shown the landing and taking off of an aircraft. We also travelled in the metro which was a very goodexperience for all of us.

Solar system set upIt was a dream come true when our school's
first solar project became functional after this summer break.
The project reduces reliance on electricity, which is deficit and generates clean, efficient, renewable energy instead, releasing no greenhouse gases and pollution in its operation. It reduces our carbon foot print. It is a model for young students to learn how to innovate in energy generation.
The capacity of the plant is 10 Kw, with daily electricity production of 7 units/KW, this SPV plant is expected to generate 22,400 units of electricity per year without consuming any diesel etc only through sunlight, which is freely available in abundance.

an opportunity to students to bring out their
creativity as much as they can. We do not wish to
