To your left, sneak a peek at your light and bright study. With space for a piano, this could also make a fine music room, with inspirational views of the pretty garden to the front. Especially picturesque at Christmas time, with its large and lit-up festive tree.

In the hallway ahead of you, bare oak stairs lead up, a journey we will embark upon shortly.

First, follow us to the right and into your inviting sitting room. Cosy, warm and utterly charming, this room was designed for cosy winter’s evenings. Snuggle down on the sofa in front of the cast iron Aga Wenlock log burner and watch as the flames flicker. Set amidst a rustic red brick fireplace, complete with inset solid oak lintel, this room epitomises farmhouse comfort.

Heated, Indian slate flooring coats the entire ground floor keeping your toes toasty warm throughout the seasons, and adding colourful allure to this sympathetically-styled home. More old-school charm comes in the shape of bespoke wooden shutters, also discovered in the family room next door.

Glass-paned pale oak double doors lead left into a small hall, where there is also access through to the kitchen and a gleaming downstairs shower room. To the right, a further set of glazed-double doors lead into your spacious and welcoming family room.

Wrapping around the far corner of the house, every inch of this stylish kitchen has been designed for practicality and ease of use. Traditional touches including sleek black electric Aga, oak units and glass-fronted dresser, are offset by ultra-modern functionality such as integrated dishwasher and freestanding fridge freezer, a perfect match to the glossy black Aga.

Deep pan-drawers within the central island offer an array of storage solutions. Also housed within this slick black granite-topped unit is a wine fridge, complemented by an inbuilt red wine rack in the base unit opposite. Overhead, a feature light mingles with spotlighting, and also with the in-built speaker sound system, wired throughout the house should you require it.

Every detail has been considered in this kitchen, from the glossy splashback tiles to the integrated plate rack, cookery-book shelf and vegetable basket drawers.

Firstly, explore your substantially equipped family bathroom to the left. Brown sparkly tiles coats the floor, continuing the traditional theme of this country home, whilst shimmering tiles surround the walls for a truly 21st century feel. Beyond the back door lies The Piggery, our first port of call. An original farm building, rebuilt and fully renovated, it now serves as a games room and refuge…and could be stand-alone living quarters, should you desire.
