connectVSAT Solutions

Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT), is a small-sized satellite telecommunications antenna that transmits and receives satellite signals, without relying on a third party terrestrial infrastructure.

Because VSAT solutions can be deployed anywhere, they are ideal for business continuity and connectivity in remote, hard to reach locations or temporary sites.

NewSat can tailor cost-eff ective and secure voice, high-speed data and video internet communications to suit our clients’ individual circumstances. We off er fi xed and

portable VSAT solutions that are tailored for optimal delivery in communications, disaster recovery, security and privacy policy.

NewSat’s VSAT Solutions can be optimised for remote wide area network (WAN), video conferencing, voice communications, data/telemetry transmission, thin client applications and hosted services. We can also customise VSAT to suit your virtual private network (VPN), VoIP access, wireless area networks, or sophisticated back-up systems for corporate networks.

To increase the value proposition to clients, NewSat operates multiple VSAT hubs at the teleport. These hubs enable multiple clients to share a given frequency block. This helps to make each connection more aff ordable, and enables them to burst into unused bandwidth to increase their overall capabilities.

NewSat owns and operates two Australian based teleports situated in Adelaide and Perth that provide a full range of C and Ku-band services. Both have extensive and proven experience in design, provisioning, maintenance and operation of satellite communication networks.

Together, our teleports house over 23 antennas, linked to 12-satellites. We have strong strategic relationships with other worldwide teleport facilities and our Teleport Services are US Government Accredited. Both teleports are securely housed from every angle, including secure entry procedures in place for on-site engineers. The teleports security arrangements

have been audited and approved by major defence organisations.Our antennas cover a broad range of sizes up to 13m in diameter and enable global communication for businesses all around the world.

Through utilising this unique-to-Australia infrastructure, NewSat provides point-to-point and point-to-multipoint services, turnaround, TT&C, related teleport services and carrier monitoring between Australia and the Asia Paci� c, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and USA.

Both teleports are interconnected with major terrestrial � bre networks and support terrestrial services from all service providers, as well as

operating our own MPLS network. NewSat therefore o� ers our customers total independence and choice of terrestrial service provider.NewSat’s around the clock Network Operation Centre can be contacted anytime from Australia and Overseas, so our clients are always connected through a secure and reliable network.

Corporate clients can house their own hubs and modems in NewSat’s state of the art hosting facility, and NewSat will provide them with uplinking to their satellite via a NewSat antenna, and satisfy all of their backend communication and support needs.
