FRAN’S FOOTNOTES CONTENTSFall is officially here and we are all looking forward to cooler temperatures after the record hot summer we had. We had fun here at Fran’s though. Kids classes were filled and they had a blast making everything from kitty pocket skirts to games like “I SPY” pillows. Check out upcoming Kids Saturday classes where Lydia has planned some unique projects also.

We also enjoyed all the travelers coming in for the Row by Row experience: checking out the store and sharing what their local store has for classes and fabrics.

We worked to come up with creative ways to celebrate September as National Swing month. We had fun coming up with little mini sales and hope you were able to take advantage of some of them. We also had fun planning the big three day 20th anniversary sale. You may be reading this when it is all over as the final big celebration days are/were September 29 – October 1.

Class schedule is a little lighter this quarter, but what is scheduled is new with many short projects that can help you decorate for the holidays or create some great gifts with several table toppers offered. If you like machine embroidery or would just like to give it a try, check out Fran’s Fabulous Embroidery Day, November 5. Seating is limited so enroll soon.

We are already planning our schedule for the first of the year, so please let us know if there is anything you would like to see us offer. Some of the classes you see in this schedule are based on customer suggestions.

Lastly, on a personal note, my mom turned 90 in September. We celebrated with 84 strong of her children, grand and great grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends. She is my inspiration for sewing as my earliest memories are of her sewing in the little time she had when the current baby was napping. She was also my first sewing teacher, expecting perfection and the inside to look as good as the outside! My classes will tell you I have lightened up on that a little!

Have a great Fall and Holiday Season and Keep Sewing!
