The Temperance Movement The band is going from strength to strength and won the Best New Band Award at the Classic Rock Awards 2013 in November. Luke played a Pete Turner resonator for their set at the ceremony – couldn’t get a decent photo of it, dammit! Joe Bonamassa Sky’s the limit for Pete Turner Guitars! Famed for his skill with the electric and acoustic guitars, we were privileged to learn that Joe Bonamassa requested to try one out during his recent London residency. Here he is playing the Marrakech Cuban, also pictured The Marrakech Cuban Not long finished what is my favourite guitar so far – a real beauty made of Cuban mahogany, a wood that hasn’t been exported since 1949.With subtle – even plain – looks it has a truly rich and musical tone An overseas buyer has taken on option on this already – I will certainly be keeping my eyes peeled for more of the same wood! Talking of overseas buyers, Trond from Norway has recently taken delivery of his Marrakech Macassar ……….. Demonstrating the versatility of the PTG resonator, listen to Trond playing ‘Old Country Rock’ in the Video section on the website Coming up On the bench at the moment is a Madagascan rosewood model, complete with pick up. Looking good!
