Specific eligibility criteria include BSN with 2 years’ experience in past 5 years or non-BSN with 3 years’ experience within past 6 years (non-BSN eligibility effective only through 1992 offering); fee structure is $150 for certification examination; recertifica- tion may be done through reexamination every 5 years or CEU documentation annually. The first examination date was set for October. The response to the National Board’s call for item writers for 1989 has been outstanding. We hope that more of you will contact the Board to participate. Your input and experience is valuable to the creden- tialing and maintenance process.

The Executive and Examination Committees wish to recognize and extend their sincere appreciation to those persons who contributed items to the 1988 PNP certification examination and the 1989 Self- Assessment. Their contributions were not only ex- cellent but provided the National Qualifjring Ex- amination and Self-Assessment with relevant focus and content as well.
