Limpopo Department of Public Works continues to be a leader in the provision and man-

agement of government land and buildings. The department on behalf of the depart-

ment of Health delivered an Administration block, Library, Outpatient Department (OPD),

construction of X - Ray section in the Letaba Clinic, Gynecology ward and renovated the

nursing college center and 17 residential houses for nurses at Letaba Hospital.

Public Works continues to work hard in

providing convenient services to the pro-

vincial communities. Limpopo Department

of Public Works constructed a Forensic

Pathology in Groblersdal hospital which

has been operating for a year now, it was

handed over in October 2011.

The aim for this construction was accessi-

bility for the community. The community

was previously using a contracted private

mortuary of St. Ritas hospital which is far

and inconvenient for some communities in

Groblersdal. The Forensic Pathology is

fully equipped with all the necessary and

required equipment to provide services.

The Department of Public Works has constructed a

library in Ga-Molepo Village, outside Polokwane.

With education being the key priority of govern-

ment, the new library is constructed to help learners

use the library as the study and research Centre.

The library is situated close to Tshebela High

School which is convenient for the learners to be

able to do their school work within closer reach.

The project will be completed by the beginning of

November and will be handed to the department

of Sports, Arts and Culture, as the end user.
