From My Heart to Yours Bland Ministry Center. The Bland Ministry Center and Dental Clinic began in 1980 and FBC along with the other churches of

the East River Baptist Association and churches across Virginia were instrumental in it’s birth. Many FBC members who have gone

on to be with the Lord and many who are still present were instrumental in beginning the Bland Ministry Dental Clinic. It was de-

signed to establish a Baptist Church in that area of Bland County to minister to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the

people of Bland County and Southeastern WV and provide dental care for people in that area.

Many of those members of our church who have gone on, Tommy and Jo Seaver, Howard and Kitty St.Clair, Otis and Jean

Giffen, and Bobby Hylton, these and many more. Some who still remain with us are Pearl Hylton, Gene and Jane Duremdes,

Myron and Patty Anderson and a host of others who have helped to make the Ministry Center a reality. Marshall Walker was Direc-

tor of Missions at that time.

The Lord has blessed that Ministry beyond measure and we are grateful for all it continues to do now. It has been successful , pri-

marily for what God has done through it but also for the labor and hard work of being involved.

Gary Linkous, from our church, is President of Board of Trustees at Bland Ministry, along with others across our association who

minister there.

This coming Sunday, Dee Dee Hosier, the Director of Bland Ministry Center, will be with us and sharing about the ministry of the

Center. You will be blessed by her and you will not only be informed, but also inspired, to know and see what we are doing and

how we can continue to do the great work that is there for us. Let me encourage you at this time to be present Sunday as she shares

in our Worship Service, but also as we share together in worshiping our Lord and Savior.

Dedication Sunday. Dedication of our new Multi Ministry Building April 2nd. I know you have probably already signed up and

plan on being here. It promises to be a wonderful Sunday as we share together in this great time of celebration. Our children will be

singing, we will observing the Lord’s Supper in the morning service and be sharing in a meal and dedication service following the

Service. Please make your plans to be here. Invite others that you know of to join us for the morning worship or for the afternoon

dedication. Service. We are grateful for what God is doing and continues to do as we utilize our ministry building.

Celebration of the Resurrection is coming up April 9th through 16th. We will have a special service each day at noon. A special

time at our church for Holy Week Service April 12th. The Madrigals here for lunch. We will need volunteers as greeters, ushers and

helping with the meal that day. Make your plans to be with us. Then on the 13th, Thursday night at 6:30 we will be observing the

Seder Meal, our own Norm Arrington will be sharing with us the true meaning of the Passover meal and how Jesus fulfilled that

Passover meal and all that has been good for us. Make your plans to be a part of this service.

On the April 16th we will celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Sunrise Service at 7:30, David K. will be preaching,

8:30 the breakfast provided by the Men’s Ministry, Bible study at 9:30, then the Celebration of Resurrection at 10:30.

Looking forward to seeing you in the life and ministry at FBC and allowing God to use you in all ways.

Your pastor and friend, David W. Dockery John 5:24

the ticket and lunch. We will leave the church at 10:00 am and return at 5:00 pm. Parents, please go to
