NewLife Community Church Ministry Team GuidelinesWelcome! You are now part of a team of people who believe that God has, does and continues to change lives! We want you to know that being part of the ministry team of NewLife Community Church makes you more than just an attender of our church but actively engaged in helping people meet and grow in relationship with Jesus.

As a member of the ministry team you are acknowledging that:• You have given your life to Jesus Christ• You are a regular attender of NewLife Community Church• You are actively making strides to grow in your knowledge of who God is and who He

has called you to be• You are living life in accordance to the teachings of The Bible

We understand that life is not a straight line from one success to another. We all make mistakes and rely heavily on God’s grace. We are not expecting our ministry members to be perfect. No one would be qualified to serve! But what we are expecting is openness and honesty in struggles and the desire to be continually shaped into the image of Christ.

We are expecting that those who are “Team Members” to be seeking to live the kind of life described below and be open to their leaders helping, encouraging and challenging them to do so. We will be expecting our “Leaders” to be mature in their faith as life as a leader carries a greater deal of influence and others look to them as a model of what a Christ follower is to be. Our “Leaders” should not just be seeking to live a Christian lifestyle, but should already be leading one and modelling that lifestyle to others with an openness to the input of Pastors.

I acknowledge the authority of Scripture and the Lordship of Jesus Christ in my life and have a personal relationship with Him. I am committed to growing and maturing my relationship with God through quiet times, active attendance at NewLife Community Church and involvement in accountability relationships.I am committed to choices and a lifestyle that reflects the teaching of Scripture understanding that as a leader I am a role model for those around me.I recognize that life is tough and mistakes are made.
