Newborn Session FAQ

How much does it cost and what can I expect?A Newborn Session is $300 plus tax, and includes:

We will take breaks for feedings, diapering, and getting baby to sleep.

When do you schedule appointments?Newborns should be scheduled within the first 10 days of birth to allow for all those squishy, sleepy,

baby poses. baby poses. For babies the best time to schedule appointments is when they will be napping and after they have been well fed. Usually this means late morning or early afternoon.

What should we wear?Your session includes as many clothing changes as you’d like in the time allowed. Most families opt for 1-2 clothing changes and or set ups. Keep in mind that multiple outfit changes will take time from your

session. As a general rule, simple is best, and outfits that are coordinating but not matching tend to work well. If you aren’t sure, contact me! I’d love to help you style your perfect session.

I want to see my pictures! How long will that take? I usually make one or two of the images available to share on social media as quickly as possible – these will be watermarked with my logo. This is fun for you to see how your pictures turned out and gives you a “peek” into your gallery as I do more editing, which generally takes about two weeks.

What happens next?I will meticulously edit and select the best images from your shoot. A day or two before your appointment, I will email you a link to your family’s personal proofing gallery so that you can review your proofs. This gallery is password protected, and usually there are 25-40 images to choose from (sometimes more depending on your family or group).

If you have an idea of the photos you like best, I am happy to help you decide on sizing, finish, whether an image should be in black and white or in color or any other decisions you have to make. My goal is for you to have beautiful images in print that you are proud to display and that will last for generations! This appointment is included as part of your initial session fee.

How do I Book a Session?If you’d like to schedule your session, please contact me to get your session on my calendar. After the date is se-lected, I will send along a portrait agreement, and once the I have a signed agreement and half of the session fee, your session is booked!
