The issue causing the "Please Wait…" message to freeze on-screen when the 65,000 character limit for the textbox is exceeded has been addressed.

The issue causing a page in a Form to become inaccessible after pasting content from a Word document has been addressed. Though SunGard has extensively tested the paste operation which is the source of this problem, because of the unknown origin of material pasted into these textboxes it is still possible that a paste operation could cause a software malfunction. If such a malfunction should occur, please retain the source document from which the content was pasted so that our support staff can quickly ascertain the cause and provide a solution.

Open an affected report and locate the offending Text Object or Formula.

Right-click on the field or formula, select "Format Field" and click on the "Paragraph" tab. Notice that the "Text Interpretation" field is set to "none".

Change the setting to "HTML Text"

Save changes and close the Report. The HTML characters should not appear the next time the Custom Report is run.

If the District creates and maintains Custom Crystal Reports, and Rich Text Functionality has recently been turned on for your District, Users may notice HTML characters appearing in some of the text sections. SunGard has programmed reports delivered to the District to deal with this change. District Personnel will have to make the following changes in their Custom Crystal Reports to eliminate the appearance of spurious HTML characters.

Display of Evaluations/Tests in Student Summary: SunGard has modified IEPPLUS to display Evaluations, Tests and Evaluations linked to Tests so that they all display appropriately on the Student Summary Screen. Users will notice an Evaluation linked to a Test appears first; Individual Evaluations appear next; Tests not linked to Evaluations display next under the prompt 'Other Tests'.

New Functionality:•

Form Summary: The ability to display the Meeting Reason and/or the Meeting Type for WebForms is now available through Maintenance, Manage Screen Configuration, ShowMeetingReason and ShowMeetingType. Edit the record and check visible.

The following is an example of a Form Summary Screen with both options turned on. Multiple Meeting Reasons are indicating by an asterisk (*).

Acknowledgements: Users can now set 'General Acknowledgements' on forms that Users must check off prior to finalizing a WebForm without running validation rules. Navigate to Maintenance, Manage Validation Options, General Acknowledgements and add any process items that a User should first acknowledge before continuing.

Next select the Form and section you wish to run this on. For Permission to Evaluation, Ready for Review, Validation Options tab, check off the appropriate statements and save.

This causes a pop-up to appear when this form and action has been selected. Checking off the boxes and continue completes the process. Basically this is a warning/staff acknowledgement that they have reviewed their input.

Windows Application Authentication: The IEPPLUS Win32 applications (such as the Billing Applications) now work with Active Directory. Users no longer need to use a SQL Authentication to log into such applications. Users may now use their normal Active Directory Account.

Form Creation Wizards: Upon the creation of a Form, the Form will now be flagged as "In Use" to prevent inappropriate access by any additional Users.

Reporting: Referral Eligibility and Referral Eligibility with Calendar reports have been modified to ignore an Enrollment Type that has an associated alternate code of "NC".

When creating an IEP the Wizard will now only pull Associated Organization records which are active as of the Creation Date of the IEP.

System Default enforcing the rule that an IEP may not be created if another Unfinalized IEP exists has been created. Should a District wish this feature to be turned on, please contact your Customer Service Representative.

Unsafe Script Tag Error Handling: This error occurs when a User creates text in a Text Box that contains the symbol"<" immediately followed by another character. To the security in the Browser this looks like malicious code and previously an error would thrown which was handled in the same manner as any other error in the software. Now, the error will be avoided. IEPPLUS will scan such text and insert a space between any "<" character and any character that follows it. The Browser will no longer consider the text as malicious code.

Student, Toolbar, File Documents: Now displays the number of File Attachments a Student has in IEPPLUS.

Student, File Documents: Selecting the 'File Documents' section displays the File Attachment Summary screen which will show ALL file attachments linked to the Student.

In addition, IEPPLUS indicates the specific Form with the attachments and allows you to open this Form and view the attachment section. Upon closing, IEPPLUS returns you back to the File Documents page.

Form Summary: This screen has been modified to indicate whether a Form has attachments, and how many, eliminating the need to open each Form to determine its attachments. Should the User hover the mouse over the attachment number, IEPPLUS will display the actual linked file names. You can then select a specific file and open that specific attachment.

Security Options:Security, Manage Groups or Manage Users will enable an Administrative User to set up various security combinations for staff access to Add, Edit, View and/or Delete 'Student' or 'Form' File Attachments based on District policy.

Archives: All form archives now display tooltips when the User hovers over the displayed date/time. The tooltip will advise if this Form is the Latest Finalized XXX, Archived XXX or Locked XXX where 'XXX' is the type of form (see example below).

Revise Link: The Form 'Revise/Amendment' link will only display on the latest finalized plan in effect as of today. IEP's that have expired prior to today will no longer display a 'Revise' link, the link will only display on an active form. If a future IEP has been created, this form can be unlocked for any necessary corrections and refinalized. When the AR future IEP date has been reached, the Revised link will appear.

In addition, If a form is not finalized, the 'Revise/Amended' link will no longer be displayed to avoid User error.

Agency Advanced Reporting: Attendance Reports - Service and Placement Attendance reports will now properly print the attendance date.

Unsafe Script Tag Error Handling: The errors occur when a User creates text in a Text Box that contains the symbol"<" immediately followed by another character. To the security in the software this looks like malicious code and previously a hard error was being thrown. Now, the error will be handled in the same manner as any other error in the software. The User will be redirected to our standard error handling page allowing the User to recover without leaving the software.

File Attachments: An error that sometimes interrupted this process has been fixed.•

Statement List/Assessment Report: Run a Report, Statement List has been enhanced to provide additional flexibility. The addition of up to four (4) sort / groupings have been added to this report.

If your Users have created any Personal Template Reports with regard to Statements, they may edit them using these additional parameters. For example, a User may have a Statement Report created 'by building' for State Assessments. That User may now add a sort 'by Grade' to this Report.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON PERFORMANCE: Depending on the large number of Statement records this report may access if unfiltered, it may take too much time to run or may return a time-out error message before rendering to PDF. If this is the case, Users must narrow their selection parameters to cause fewer records to be chosen for a single run. The report will need to be run multiple times with appropriate filtering parameters in order to obtain all of the desired data.

At one client site, the example shown above returned over ten-thousand Statement records for a single year and eventually returned an error message - at another client, the same setup of the report ran to a successful conclusion because it returned far fewer records in a single run of the report.

To multiple select items in the window, hold the 'Shift' key and click on the individual items.

To multiply select a row of items, hold the 'Control' key and click on the first & last item.

To Unselect items (i.e. Subcategory after selecting one), hold the 'Control' and Click on the item in blue to deselect it.

TIPS:

Acknowledgements: Administrative Users may set 'General Acknowledgements' on Forms that Standard Users must acknowledge by checking them off prior to Finalizing a Form without running Validation Rules.

In Maintenance, Manage Validation Options, General Acknowledgements an Administrative User may add references to any pre-finalization procedures. Standard Users must acknowledge that they have performed these procedures before Finalization can occur. This capability DOES NOT actually check to see if those procedures actually have been performed - only that the User attempting the Finalization acknowledges that they have performed them.

Client Operating Environment: Due to an upgrade in our Development Tools the operating environment at each client will be upgraded as well. Added "eSP - Most Recent Finalized Inactivation" rule. Rule is on by default. If a student is inactivated in IEPPLUS, the rule will remove the most recently uploaded form (PDF) for each type of form.
