New Year Preparations at University of HertfordshireSports Village

Antac was asked to carry out a

range of small works due to the

wide range of services which

we deliver and our excellent

reputation.

DOFF Deep Cleaning

DOFF is a cleaning system

delivering steam at 150°C. The

surface is cleaned very gently

and the volume of water used

is low. This process was ideal to

clean the fl oor and grouting from

the ingrained dirt and body fats

throughout the swimming pool

and changing room areas.

Window Resealing

A further maintenance task

completed by Antac was the

replacement of the silicone

compound used to seal 1,400

windows at the Sports Village.

Antac was able to utilize it’s

own 20 metre “cherry picker” to

allow safe and effi cient access

for the higher levels.

Fire Door Upgrade

As part of a planned upgrade

programme for the campus

buildings, Antac carried out a

replacement of 26 external fi re

doors and frames. This involved

working to a carefully planned

schedule to ensure the continued

security of the buildings during

the works.

Broken Tile Replacement

Through heavy use of the

swiming pool and changing

room areas, many fl oor tiles

had become badly worn and

damaged. Approximately

200 fl oor tiles were carefully

replaced by Antac’s skilled

tradesmen.

Washroom Strip Out

To facilitate the installation of

a new vinyl fl oor for the mens

washroom, Antac removed

all of the toilet fi xtures and

partitions before the old fl ooring

could be removed and the new

covering could be installed. On

completion Antac replaced and

recomissioned all of the fi xtures

and partitions.

Window Cleaning

Routine scheduled window

cleaning throughout the

University Campus.
