Welcome letterThe wonderful city of Buenos Aires, capital of the Republic of Argentina and cultural center of Latin America, will host an international scientific event which will boast the presence of the whole medical community of our specialty in a very relevant framework such as the XII International Congress of the Latin American Venous Forum, the XIX International Congress of the Argentinian College of Venous and Lymphatic Surgery and the IX International Interuniversity Congress of Advances on Phlebology, Lymphology and Aesthetics.

It is a great honor for us to share the scientific space of this event with the UIP (International Union of Phlebology) General Council Meeting (formed by 75 societies of 55 countries) & Executive Committee Meetings,.

In addition, we will have the VII Congress of the Bonaerense Society of Phlebology and Lymphology (SFLB), the IV Congress of the Buenos Aires Association of Phlebology and Lymphology (AFLIPBA).

We will receive the medical community of Uruguay in its I Congress of the Uruguayan Society of Phlebology and Lymphology (SUFyL), we will also host the Andean Conference ACUFLA - PATAGONIA - SOCHIFyL and the Mercosur Symposium.

This Organizing Committee is proud to host a variety of prominent personalities who will give this event, alongside the national referents in the field, the brilliance that has made it stand out throughout the years.

We are guided by a truly conciliatory spirit, which is constantly preserved and expanded by the uni-versities and scientific societies that we represent. With a prevailing sense of responsibility for medical education, we seek to transfer this spirit to other relevant fields willing to share these events with us.

It is also a great pleasure for us to present our colleagues with a scientific program of outstanding ac-ademic level as part of our Medical Continuous Training. The program brings together many worldwide and national references in our field, who work day after day to foster an ethical and investigative spirit in young minds, to boost intellectual growth.

The effort we have made in the organization of this Congress is highly rewarded by your presence. We hope this event, while representing our thoughts, continues to be a useful tool for growth and unity.

The city of Buenos Aires will host the XII International Congress of the Latin American Venous Forum, the XIX International Congress of the Argentinian College of Venous and Lymphatic Surgery and the IX International Interuniversity Congress of Advances in Phlebology, Lymphology and Aesthetics, between April 7th and 9th, 2021, that will take place in the InterContinental Hotel Buenos Aires. The choice of this area will allow us to have a wide foyer for the distribution of commercial booths and will guarantee the access of the attendees to the 8 rooms distributed on 2 floors, as well as a main conference room with a maximum capacity for 450 people, where simultaneous activities will be developed.

This event has been organized for more than 15 years and is part of the national and international calendar, standing out in particular in the year 2021 for the magnitude and participation levels it will reach. Its organizers, the Latin American Venous Forum (FVL), the Argentinian College of Venous and Lymphatic Surgery (CACVyL) and the International Interuniversity Network on Venous Diseases (vWIN) will be honored to receive the UIP General Council (International Union of Phlebology) & Executive Committee meetings and all the Latin American Scientific Societies in the field by means of the presence of their Presidents, who will attend their Latin American Meeting, and the members of their directive commissions that will actively participate in the congress.

Other events of high professional relevance will take place in the same field, in which prominent figures will participate. These are the VII Congress of the Bonaerense Society of Phlebology and Lymphology (SFLB), the IV Congress of the Phlebology and Lymphology Association of Buenos Aires Province (AFLIPBA), the I Congress of the Uruguayan Society of Phlebology and Lymphology (SUFyL), the Andean Conference ACUFLA - PATAGONIA - SOCHIFyL, the Mercosur Symposium, the I Argentinean Congress for Patients with Venous diseases, Lymphedema and Lipedema, and the International Congress on Nutrition and Obesity Therapeutics “Interdisciplinary Management of Flebolinphology, Aesthetics and Nutrition”.

The Forum of Forum will also be present for the first time carrying out an interesting scientific ac-tivity.

We will boast over 200 foreign guest speakers, and we are inviting all Presidents of UIP member societies.

An ambitious scientific program is being elaborated for these events.

In the Phlebology area there will be Hands-on courses pre and post congress, symposiums and dissertations of national and international references in topics such as Vascular Diagnosis, Endo-vascular Procedures (laser and radiofrequency), Thrombolysis and Stenting, among others.

Vascular Rehabilitation, Wound Care and Handling of Impulse Suction Pumps will also be ad-dressed during the Congress of the AIACH by world leaders in the subject.

An ambitious program of Continuing Medical Training for graduates and colleagues in training will be promoted through the careers of the field. We will offer intensive certifications and Hands-On courses.
