BroncoData Vision

FRAMEWORKEvery division, college, department and program on campus shares a common requirement and reasonable expectation that the information necessary to perform its mission and function should be readily available

STANDARDConvenient access to timely and accurate information is the hallmark of the data warehouse

BroncoData Vision

BUILDING FROM AN EXISTING FOUNDATION

BroncoData began as a project within IRAP; its vision and value are recognized and reinforced by this new model

The growing importance of BroncoData exceeded the existing resource model

The new model builds upon the existing infrastructure, enhancing its effectiveness by providing an organizational structure distributed across the divisions

Page 8: New Vision Comp Reporting

Guiding Principles

Success is the endpoint – assuming the request is consistent with a valid business need and appropriate use, a request will be honored

Timeliness is essential

Requests will have a champion – either a data architect or report writer will work with the requestor to get the right data, possibly refining the request or output

Processes are clear, simple and effective– Communication is effective and proactive– Security guidelines and procedures are clear

Page 9: New Vision Comp Reporting

Its organizational structure is distributed across divisions

Contributions from both functional and technical experts are essential
