New U Newsletter

NEW U is a wellness committee responsible for promoting health and wellness
among staff and faculty. We strive to provide information, events and ideas to edu-
cate and motivate you into a healthier lifestyle.
How it works:
Register for one (or both) Wholebeing Challenge(s). Once the challenge begins, you will receive daily emails. Read the short lesson and click the button at the bottom of the email to confirm you ’ve completed the les-son. You have the flexibility to complete the lessons at your own pace. Complete 18 of the 21 lessons and you’ll receive a participation gift AND your name will go into a drawing for a grand prize.

This is the American Heart Association class with a course completion card. The card is good for 2
years. The Cost $80 for the class payable upon arrival to the class.

The Requirements to being a Wellness Participant in 2020
1. Complete a Well Being Profile via https://ibxpress.ibx.com/
2. Receive one dental screening/cleaning or an annual vision screening.
3. Receive one preventative service. (Annual routine exam, mammogram, colonoscopy, etc.)
4. Participate in at least 5 activities throughout the year in a wellness activity sponsored by NEW U or individual
activities. These 5 activities must be in at least (2) of the following categories: Nutrition, stress management, fit-
ness & wellness education.
Wellness participants enrolled in the Base Plan will receive an additional $300 in their health savings account in
and Buy Up Plan will receive $300 in payroll in December.
The Wellness Commitment form will be available in November and must be submitted by December 4th..
