REGARDING YOUR RESPONSE TO MY REPORT

ON THE STATE OF OUR FINANCE

Dear Parishioners, You can recall that a couple of Sundays ago, I presented the

State of Our Finance at all the Masses and used the opportunity to call for more generosity in order to ensure that we remain on a

viable foundation to continue our witnessing and ministries as one Community of Faith. I would like to report that many of you have responded to this call. There is a remarkable improvement in our Sunday Plate Collections and general contribution to the Parish. I am sure you have seen this reported in our Sunday Bulletin. While encouraging you to continue along this line (in

order to better meet our weekly/monthly/annual budgetary obligations), I would like to thank you immensely and sincerely

for this remarkable immediate response. I recognize the sacrifice involved in all your efforts. As your pastor, I assure you that we

shall continue to make judicious and prudent use of all the resources and contributions placed under our care. You have

demonstrated that we are indeed one Family of Faith dedicated to living and handing on the Catholic Faith in our time.

I pray for God’s blessing on you and your families.

Msgr. John W. Maloney Pastor

PARISH GIVING TREE 2018

Our Parish Giving Tree will begin on the weekend of November 17 and 18 with the distribution of gift tags, which will

be on the altar rail before and after the weekend masses. The tags will be divided into 3 categories (clothing/accessories for children-adults; gift cards; and toys/games for children) to

assist you in selecting gift tags.

Please bring your UNWRAPPED gifts to the Rosary Chapel (82 Street Chapel) before or after masses on the weekend of December 8 and 9. Our generous parishioners have always

come through with thoughtful gifts for those less fortunate, and we ask that you do the same again this year. Thank you in

advance for your kindness to those in need.

Gratefully, The St. Anselm Elves

Our Mission Statement We, the Body of Christ: St. Anselm Parish in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, rejoice in our parish’s more than 80 years of service to God, our Church, our country, and our community. As Christ is Priest, Prophet, and King, we celebrate the sacramental life of the Church, proclaim the Word of God, and serve the needs of our parishioners and neighbors always with faith, hope, and charity. Walking with Christ, we accept the challenge to call all people to worship, to teach all nations His Truth, and to love one another as He has loved us.
