Indian Railways is the lifeline of the nation and catalyst for India's

progress and economic development. Railway has been providing

comfortable, convenient and easy on the pocket transportation system

to its patrons. Major infrastructure projects in Railways has focus on

safety, enhancing speed and connecting far flung areas. New tracks are

being laid. Line doubling and electrification works are in full swing.

Latest technologies, digitalization and in house innovations are being

used to bring more efficiency and better results. Emphasis is also on

creating better business opportunities through long haul and piecemeal

trains.

The officers and staff of the Railways are dedicated, ready to adapt to

changing scenario of the transport sector, this booklet is aimed towards

listing some of the important activities involving in the recent past as

well as current projects in Bhatinda. The budgets allocated to various

projects are not apportioned State wise but reflect the cost of the project.

v Provision of Limited Height subway (LHS) to eliminate Level Crossing no. C-2 at km 1KM 573M between Bathinda Cantt.-Katar Singh Wala on Bathinda Bye pass line

v Provision of Limited Height subway to eliminate Level Crossing no.C-4 at km 2KM 477M between Bathinda Cantt.-Katar Singh Wala on Bathinda Bye pass line

v Improvement of Bhathinda station building

v Construction of Road Over Bridge at Level Crossing - 221 Maur Mandi.

v Provisions of 14 nos. 2x18 watt LED Tube fittings to enhance illumination level at various locations i.e. Mansa, Maur, Jakhal & Budhlada Railway station.

v 14 nos. 45 watts street LED fittings have been provided at Mansa & Maur Railway colony.

Improvement in Passenger Amenities:

v Construction of Pump house laying of pipe line to connect the existing pipe line in C/W replacement of failed tubewell no. 3 & 7 at Bathinda.

v Foot Over Bridge provided at Bhuchhu station.

v Waiting hall provided at Bathinda station.

v Wifi Provided at Bathinda station.

v Extension and Improvement of car parking at Bathinda station.

v Improvement of Essential Passenger Amenities and Cycle/Scooter Stand at Bathinda Station.

v Installation of Water Vending Machines at Bathinda Station.

v Development work at Bathinda Cantt Station in connection with Adarsh Railway station.

v Washable Apron at Bathinda Railway station.

v Provision of Precooling Cum Battery Charging Points along with voltage stabiliser at Ambala, Bathinda & Nangal Dam Railway stations.

ON GOING WORKS :

v Bathinda-Sriganganagar- 4 Nos. Limited Heigh Subways in lieu of Level Crossings.

v Additional Foot Over Bridge with escalators at Bathinda.

v Replacement of old Foot Over Bridges with new wide Foot Over Bridges.

v Rajpura-Bathinda-Sriganganagar - Replacement of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd maintained overhead alignment by 6-quad optic fibre telecom cable 400 km.

v Replacement of NTI with BPAC and block panel in Bathinda Ex-Sri Ganga Nagar section 10 block sections.

v Dhuri-Bathinda-Sri Ganganagar - Replacement of quarters, huts type-I - 100 units with standard type-II.

v New running room for Drivers /Guards at Bathinda.

v Upgradation of Manned Level Crossings to higher categories in Ambala Division.

v Manning of Unmanned Level Crossings 11 Nos. in Ambala Division.

v Provision of new Tube well at Bathinda

v Additional Foot Over Bridge with escalator at Bathinda

v Provision of washable apron at line no. 6 (260.0 m) at Bathinda

v Electrical work in connection with improvement of illumination by provision of energy efficient LED lumanaries in place high power Lumanaries

v Construction of Limited Height subway (LHS) (1X5500X3600) in lieu of manned L-Crossing no. C-6 on Bathinda-Sri Ganganagar section.

v Construction of 2 No Road Over Bridge & 1 Foot Over Bridge (FOB) to eliminate Level Crossings No 141, C-243, C-185/1 & Double Gate C-185 & C-243A on Rajpura Jn.-Bathinda, Bathinda-Sirsa & Bathinda-Delhi section.

v Provision of Minimum Essential Amenities and facilities in connection with Adarsh station at Various stations on Ambala cantt-Barara,Dhuri-Gill-Hisar & Rajpura- Bathinda-Sri Ganga Nagar section.

FUTURE WORKS :

v Rajpura-Bathinda double line.

v New Platform towards first entry.

v Bathinda- Extension of 11-14 coach capacity washing lines to 26 coaches.
