American Airlines was recently granted permission from respective government au-thorities in the United States and Brazil to add a total of 17 new flights between the countries this fall. And, passengers travel-ing between Japan and Latin America will enjoy seamless connections from our Tokyo-Haneda to JFK flight, enabling you to arrive in Brazil the same day you depart from Japan. In SingaporeWhat’s Going On

After years of tremendous growth, China now has over half a billion Internet users. That’s more than the total population of the European community (EU). In fact, one in five Internet users of the world are Chinese and over one third only use mobile devices to access the Internet. Commonly

known social media channels in the rest of the world like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are blocked in China and social media channels such as Qzone (560 million users), Tencent Weibo (337 million users), Sina Weibo (324 million users) are thriving.

These are only some of the reasons why American chose to invest in a social media platform to introduce the brand and to give Chinese a platform to engage about USA expe-riences. HelloAmerica.cn launched in March 2010, has been a huge success and its loyal community continues to grow rapidly with well over 100,000 monthly visitors gener-ating between 2 and 300,000 brand impressions per month.

AA Singapore Participates In The ‘Friends Of oneworld’ Campaign

AA Singapore recently participated in the launch of the ‘Friends of oneworld’ (FOOW) campaign with promotions held at two major corporate travel agents. First, a luncheon presentation was hosted at American Express for 100 agents followed by a presentation at HRG to 14 team leaders.

The FOOW campaign includes a competition for the agents. Each ticket issued on any oneworld carrier will go into a lucky draw to win shopping vouchers. The campaign has turned out to be very popular as entry boxes are jam-packed with entries and strong involvement from the agents in the presentation sessions.
