Meg’s Garden Theſt It was disappoinng for our students, staff and parent helpers to find on Wednesday morning that a substanal number of seedlings and a worm farm had been stolen from the vegetable garden near our Pre-primary classrooms. The seedlings were part of a project students from C4 had been working on. I again ask our school community to be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to School Watch (1800 177 777) or the Police (131444). Canon Australia Environmental Grants Program At yesterday’s student assembly, Canons Assistant General Manager, Richard Henley presented us with $1,000 worth of Canon equipment as the runner-up school in their Australia wide Environmental Grants Program for 2016. Annually students from Year 4 propagate over 600 seedlings and in the following year as Year 5 students they plant them out on our local coastline. The equipment received from Canon will be used to monitor the progress of this project. Every fortnight in the canteen this term there will be a new item for your child to try. These ideas were provided to us by the children in the school during canteen week where they invented their own favourite canteen meal. Using their ideas, we will give them a chance to see their suggestions ‘come to life’ on the menu. Depending on the popu-larity of these, we may integrate some of them into our new menu next year. The following provides the dates and menu items that will be on offer:

If you haven’t already, please put your name down to volunteer in the canteen. Despite it being the start of term, the roster is filling up fast so if it’s your last year at the school or you’d like to come down and have your child see you in the canteen, put your name down by visiting the canteen and writing your name on the list or contacting Katie Wild at [email protected].
