New Islamic Center Project

Masjid Ibrahim

Masjid Ibrahim was founded in 2001 in the south part of

Austin, an area where no masjid previously existed. Since

its inception, the number of worshippers continues to

grow, especially at Jumua’ah and Isha prayers. This is in

part due to the proximity of several large employers like

Intel, Freescale Semiconductor, and AMD.

Even though Masjid Ibrahim had modest beginnings as a

3200 sq. ft rented building, many programs and activities

were soon established that propelled the masjid to be rec-

ognized as one of the best-known Islamic centers in Cen-

tral Texas.

Another View of New Masjid Property

He who built a mosque for Allaah, Allaah would build a house for him like it in Paradise. [Bukhaari & Muslim] “

The Mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allaah and the Last Day and establish

prayer and give zakah and do not fear ex-cept Allaah, for it is expected that those will be the [rightly] guided. [Surah at-Tawbah: 18]
